[Edwards] 'indicates that Aprilia may be on the verge of a break through with their MotoGP machine.'
F'in A let's hope so. |

This reads like the stuff released at the beginning of the season. |

| Re: The Aprilia Cube to see major changes? Not much hard information there. On the other hand the bike seemed to be progressing very well in the early part of the year, but has recently been going through a bad patch.
I don't have much by way of details, other than genralised noises about software funnies leading to throttle control problems and a sense that reaching the weight limit is proving rather harder than they expected.
Does anybody have any idea if this likely to lead to changes, and if so of what sort? Could be they may need to try something radical to restore the momentum... |

| You mean like the bike shooting across the starting grid sans rider....?

| Re: The Aprilia Cube to see major changes? Fair comment, that was attributed to the fly by wire wasn't it. As was the fall Edwards had early in testing - a momentary lag in shutting down when it spun up which led to a high side.
I have to say that's the sort of stuff that would put a dent in your confidence pretty quickly...... |

| Re: The Aprilia Cube to see major changes? well,
They did have the new chasis and all the last race, but that one was the fireball one and haga crashed his...
I totally expect that bike to become competitive... Such a very small effort they have. Whether you'll see GP250 level domination or not, I dunno... But I for sure see them improving each race.
And lets face it, the SP1/SP2/RC51, whatever you want to call it, got to be the bike it was because of colin... The guy kicks major a$$ and he'll make that bike a winner...
I think so anyway, but I have been accused of being a lot today, so who knows!? |

| Re: The Aprilia Cube to see major changes? The starting line snafu was a TCS issue....not related to the FBW throttle....so it got ditched.
FBW throttle had its own quirks and was ditched as well....
