| Re: Kevin Schwantz returns to road racing! Opie has been a Kevin "project" for quite some time now. When I was at the Schwantz school in 2002, Kevin was ragging Opie about eating too much, goofing around on the track etc., etc. while in the middle of the AMA schedule. Opie has boatloads of natural ability, but needs some "assistance" in the discipline department .
This should be interesting, as I wonder if Kevin is going to let it "hang out" or just run a conservative race for the points. I would bet his GF is turning purple right about now (Bubba knows what I'm talking about . . .). |

I'd LOVE to go someday... | It was great. I got to "unlearn" about 20 years of bad habits in 3 days as well as ride with Kevin and Opie and best of all: Jamie James. I have been a James fan for years and we actually got a chance to put in about 4 sessions of head to head laps (I'm certain Jamie was dogging it, but it was a gas). We put the entire advanced class more than a lap down twice on the second day. Kevin finally stepped in and chilled us out, but following Jamie around and picking up a few "devious tricks" was worth the entire price of the school. |

| Re: Kevin Schwantz returns to road racing! I've seen him race a few motard events and it will be pretty cool to see him back in road racing, for at least one race anyways. |
