Part 3

Soup 3

His view on backmarkers:

'When asked of ways to improve the series, Mat said the AMA should look at the quality of the field in Superbike. 'One thing I don't understand is why some guys in the Superbike field are out there. Like at Mid-Ohio, we were putting some guys a lap down on lap eight. If someone was going to put me a lap down that soon, I'd find a different class to race in, nothing personal. MotoGP survives with 22 riders ... maybe the AMA should look at that.'

Re: Mladin speaks out part 1

At least he is a tidbit of class........

Mat continued with his thoughts on Hayden. 'I'm not jealous of him at all. I root for the guy. He's a good kid and focused. Good on him for getting the GP ride. It's what he wanted, but I wish Nicky would have come back here for another year to defend his (Superbike) title. Last year, he got the job done and we had a bad year, no excuses. I would have loved to have seen how we fared against him now that we have our new bike, which I believe -- like I said earlier -- is a better class of motorcycle from what we had last year. Still, if I got offered a deal like that I wouldn't be hangin' around to defend my title, good on him.'

Re: Mladin speaks out part 1

Yeah, I read that too....................and laughed.
Seriously, that was part of the point of my other post. The guy has the memory of a one month old.
He really can't remember how he b1tched every weekend, making excuse after excuse at every race last year?
Can he not remember how he cried like a baby at the end of the season stating that if he can't have a better bike than his GSXR750 for next year he may not even come back to race AMA Superbike?
Can he not remember how he badmouthed Nicky on a weekly basis, and when Nicky got the MotoGP job he was almost as hard on him as Booth?

That's what I'm getting at. He has no class. He may be a good rider, but I'll throw down money that Eric wins the title next year over Ben, and Mladin won't win one race. He may get on the box once due to others crashing. That's how good he really is.
He'll also whine as much as he has the last three years. Then magically forget his whining when it serves him well.

Let's hope Eric stomps his guts

Nicky you say? Maybe he'll pimp the Corn Rows or the Cheetah haircut a la Dennis Rodman in GP too

Re: Mladin speaks out part 1

I agree with what some have said... I can't pull for the world class pricks, no matter how good they are...

Guys like bayliss, edwards, pridmore, et al...

Those guys are the first to congratulate their competitors when they ride well. While standing in the post race interviews, 4 minutes after the race, they are still congratulating them as well as their own acheivements...

Last time that happened in the ama was nicky and gobert the end of 2001. At every interview, they'd always talk about how they loved following each other around. It was very bayliss/edwards like... Only, the Go Show wasn't on a good bike...

I am a huge Pridmore fan!

But I am partial, because I have benefited from his schools so much. Not sure how he is among his peers, but you couldn't find a nicer guy when dealing with the public.....

His good finishes at Mid-Ohio and Suzuka this year were awesome.....

Yeah, same here. I have no complaints about Kurtis either.

I can't wait to hear his whining excuses next year when he doesn't finish one race on the podium.
DOOD I couldn't agree with you more! I am 110% behind you! I hate that guy, I always have and I always will. He is IMO the MOST over-rated rider in the AMA right now. What i cant wait for is for Eric to be on the more competitive 1000cc and for Ben to get his running shoes back on. I also want to see K.Roberts race the the*Kurtis of old. Like he did in his undefeated season. I will give Mladin one thing... He is about to win (and I use the word loosely) his forth championship. He better savour it, cause I have a feeling it is his last.

And if i may add to your list sir. You forgot to mention that race that Yates actually slowed down to let Mladin win. And correct me if I am wrong but i think that was a championship decider! And also I remember Yates being really pissed about it saying 'It will never happen again'

Edit: Spelling
