| USGP Sound restrictions? I thought Laguna had a maximum decible restriction? Is that only for trackdays or what? I'm curious about this cause I know that the GP bikes have to be crazy loud as compared to the AMA boys or trackday junkies. It may be a stupid question but it's Monday for me. |

| Re: USGP Sound restrictions? They have a few 93 dB days too. I think Trackho got pinched on his 1000rr last year with stock exhaust. They give you 2 warnings to fix/repair/ or short shift your bike while going past the sound trap. There are threats that they will move the meter to a different part of the track if they see you short shift but I have never seen it done.

As Lance Keigwin says, it's in the WORST possible spot. In the middle of a long uphill (between turns 5 & 6) on the right side of the track. Right next to your pipe and your natural tendancy is to drift to the outside after turn 5, right up next to the booth as you are hard on the gas. |

| Re: USGP Sound restrictions? Yeah, that stupid thing is a safety hazard. I have seen so many near collisions where people are on the left and drift to the right after the sound check...meanwhile, someone on a stock 600 has been running up the right with the throttle buried and the dude on the modded bike doesn't see him... |

| Re: USGP Sound restrictions? Hehe... Here is me during the GP practice (see back ground). I went by Valentino a few laps earlier and he is a couple corners behind by now. http://gotbluemilk.com/web050315/pix...r/HT4U7834.jpg |
