Laguna only got ~53k attendance on race day and they are literally in the heart of US motorcycle territory and are close to other tourist destinations. As sad as it is, Indy will probably never host a bike race...

| Re: Rossi unhappy with U.S. track (SPOILER) 150 for the entire event. But those are REAL numbers unlike the GP races in Europe. And it was a sell out. If the place had more room, there'd be more people. What other Moto GP events are sell outs?

I've got footage of my track time at Indy. I just don't know how to get it from my camera to here. I would like to share with you as it really puts Indy in perspective. | Are you talking about the road course or the oval...

Indy, I am sad to say, is history. Yes it is history. Historical for all the memorable races that have taken place there. It was #1 for many of us growing up and watching the races there. That's the problem, it's history.
| In the meantime...you might wanna stop polishing your World's Fair spoon collection and rethink that little gem...

| Re: Rossi unhappy with U.S. track (SPOILER) "Speaking after the first day of practice for Sunday's race, being held in the U.S. for the first time since 1994, Rossi said: "The track was quite dangerous in many points, but some are very, very dangerous.
"When you walk around or go with a scooter it's dangerous, but it's less dangerous on a motorbike."
I dont get it. Was he complaining about the actual track being dangerous, or the crowd?????
I have ridden at Laguna quite a few times, before the recent saftey mods, its a pretty damn safe track. I cant really think of any "hairy" spots. Seeing as the AMA guys were only going a few seconds slower in race laptimes, I dont get it.
Its like 1 Million X safer than Sears/Infineon. |

He was really digging before he got on his bike and most of the way down pit lane while standing up. That thong must have really been riding up. |
