I think he's just burned out on that pile. He's been trying to help Suzuki develop something worthwhile and gets nothing in return. I'd bet if he had jumped ship when Sete did he'd be holding his own. Sete was a piss-poor B-rate on that bike compared to Kenny, and look how his career turned around.
Could he still do it? I think he may have a good season or two left in him on a decent team, but he may just be coasting and collecting checks at this point. I think that situation has just flat broken his spirit.
