| The USGP Rocked The title says it all.
I just got back today from Cali and am so dead beat tired. I will definitely be attending the USGP as long as it comes to the US. Maybe next year I'll rent an RV and camp out in luxury at the track!!!! Here are some pics, enjoy!!!!

| Re: The USGP Rocked Definitely a lot of "hoochie mamas" were present at the race. The wife just rolled her eyes when I took pics of them. The place was packed every single day. On Saturday it took me 2 hours to get from the track entrance to parking (made me miss the first FP that morning). |

The 2 single lane roads (1 lane each direction) into the track are a joke. At least they should make them 1 way and give us 2 lanes to get in. At the end of the day they should reverse it and have 2 lanes out. They can always leave the highway 68 entrance for anyone needing to go the opposite direction.
Next year get there before 7:30am. No traffic. Getting out still took 2 hours. Or take a helicopter. I'll probably do that next year. |

| Re: The USGP Rocked On Friday I arrived at the track at 8:30am and cruised right in with no problem. I even parked in a lot right next to the track (turn 11). Saturday was a whole different story. I sat on CA-1 about a mile from the entrance for a little more than 1 hour. Then it took over 2 hours to from the gate to parking. Parking for Saturday was nothing like Friday. Had to park at Lookout Point and take a bus to get dropped off at the camping entrance. After Sunday, I learned my lesson. Got to the track at 6am and cruised right in, but they still made me park at Lookout Point and take the bus in. Traffic leaving on Sunday was worse than traffic coming in on Saturday. It took me a total of 4 hours to get from the track onto 101!!!!
Hey, it's all worth it. Got to see Hayden take Rossi to school. Next year, I'm either camping at the track (RV or tent) or getting a hotel room very close to the track. I stayed in San Jose with relatives this time and every morning it was about an one hour drive to the track. |

| Re: The USGP Rocked Forgot the whole lane splitting thing in Cali. That crap drove me totally nuts. I thought I was going to hit a motorcyclist everytime I drove anywhere. It was really bad for me when getting closer to the track. It would be a two lane road with a lane going in each direction. The guys would pass me on the left (opposite direction of traffic) and on the right (on the shoulder). I felt so lucky that I didn't hit a motorcyclist. I had to constantly monitor both side view mirrors to swerve out the way to make sure the guys had enough room. Uggghhh!!!! I HATE LANE SPLITTING!!!! |

That bothered me too....especially since I was driving a 30 foot camper that took up all the lane.....but at the same time, I was thinking how nice it would have been to have a bike and cruise right to the front of the line. |

Wow, that parking lot shot looks like that would suck trying to get out.
Did I mention those nice scenery shots? |
