Rossi taken out of context

I think Rossi got shafted last weekend. If you watched the GP they talked to him before and they asked him what he thought of the US and his response (or at least the response they played) was something about being famous and he likes it here because nobody recognizes him and back home he has thousands of fans. Well last night on 2-wheel Tuesday they showed the entire interview. That answer was actually to a question that specifically asked "Many people of here may not realize how famous you really are... tell me what it's like being so famous" When he was asked what he thought about the US he said he loved that we have American flags everywhere and he loved the weather and the girls. I think the media made him look pretty bad.

Re: Rossi taken out of context

I always try to give the benefit of doubt to someone when their mastery of the English language is hindered, so I didn't think twice about the abbreviated interview.

I thought the interview sucked. Should have had fast freddie interview him and ask some worthy questions. Many of the questions greg asked were bogus at best. I kept waiting for him to ask Rossi something legitimate about his career, his race preparation, SOMETHING, but just kept getting the "...what do you like about being famous? What do you NOT like about being famous?"

Wow.

Re: Rossi taken out of context

I thought the most interesting comment was that to Rossi when he races it's 75% fun and 25% work.

Now that was pretty good, especially the comment "for others, maybe... maybe it is opposite for them..."

I would have asked him some fun questions like "who would you rather have dinner with, Max or Sete?"

Right now, he probably has more money than he could ever spend, but yet, he keeps it up. Why?? Just that, he has so much fun doing it.

Oh yeah, I agree he got shafted with that interview. But, that's the result of many interviews when the media have their way with things, right?
