| Honda in SBK Please explain this to me.
Why is it that Chris V., riding a TenKate Honda, is right up front with Corser and the Suzuki's? But in AMA, the Honda sled is always pulling up the rear. Those bikes can't buy an AMA win. I guess AMA rules are different than WSB.
What gives.... |

| Re: Honda in SBK In the AMA, the manufacturers get together to chose which series they will put their money into. That way everybody gets a chance to advertise that they are #1. The AMA has nothing to do with competition. Do they race? Yes. Do they compete? No.

| Re: Honda in SBK well the rules are different and TenKate simply builds a much better bike than American Honda. The AMA honda team either needs to get HRC back or get someone from TenKate to come over and show them how its done. I think the biggest problem the AMA honda team has is the Yoshi Suzuki team. From development to mechanics to rider Yoshi just has a better team and it really makes Honda look bad.

Well when Honda is the only factory team in FX its easy to win when you can drop a few thousand bucks without a problem unlike the privateers.

| Re: Honda in SBK So why would mother Honda not want to sponser both AMA and WSB to promot their products. Yes, it would mean opening up thier wallet for developement. Spending money on performance parts. But it would also mean sales of their bike fleet. Am I not correct? It seems that I see more and more Suzukis on the street. I cannot help but wonder if this is because Suks are competing big time in racing, both AMA and WSB. How can Honda expect to sell more bikes if they are getting dogged week in and week out in racing?
I feel confident in Honda fit and polish. This 03 954 is a great bike. Other Honda bikes that I have owned or just ridden, were great as well. I can't say the same for the other makers that I have been on.
I just don't understand Honda and their logic. |

Suzuki won 8 races and a championship with one rider, Honda won 9 among 3 riders. http://home.ama-cycle.org/prorace/ra...6280&year=2004 |
