"Okay...I'm not arguing that their aren't politics in tires, bikes, contracts et al....we all know there are."

OK, but we'll ignore them in favour of just raggin someone instead. I'll say it again, they ALL deserve to be there, ad you can be as big a smart arse as you like about what I've said, Fact is, he's still gonna finish top 3-5 in the championship and if that doesn't count for "belonging" in Moto GP, then you can suk me dry and call me dusty.

As for his style, he sits very much over the front of the bike, right up against the tank, which is very front end biased etc, but with the Yamah, he found in one of the FP sessions that sitting back a little and going for more corner speed than point and shoot, he was quicker. But hey, you all know best, so I'll shut up now. ......................bows and pleads for firgiveness from the obvious GP riding masters. Hahahahaha

Don't quote my chit, then harangue on a statement I didn't make...I never said he didn't belong....

Re: What is CE talking about here?

Wrong again...I've never made the assertion that he doesn't belong in MotoGP, and never will, so I am not backing anyone up.

Read my post again. I said nothing about Colin's abilities...in fact I think he's a great rider.

My point was that fans like you aren't helping him on his path to becoming a MGP champion...

Edit:
Just to make it clear...because I don't think you are getting it...my criticism is toward you, and not CE.

Sook,

No one here is saying they are a better rider than Edwards. That would just be stupid. However, critique and opinions don't often come from superiors. Do analysts in any form of entertainment have a higher level of competency than the object of their discussion?

Re: What is CE talking about here?

Yeah but at least "critics" actually know about what they are putting forward their opinions on and why it is or isn't good etc.

btw, I doubt I'll be seeing CE mentioning me or anyone else and how we're "keeping him from a championship" . lol

Let's see, how to explain so everyone can understand...
  • The people who frequent this site have some kind of interest in motorcycles.
  • A portion of the people who frequent this site follow professional motorcycle racing.
  • When a person has an interest in a topic, they usually form their own opinions on it.
  • Internet forums are generally accepted as a logical place to share one's opinion on a topic of interest.
  • Expressing one's opinion doesn't necessarily make it right, wrong, or Chinese.
  • Dropping names or hinting that one has been in a hot tub with someone of interest doesn't make that person's opinion negate all others.

I've got about 40 vehicles rented to Brad Pitt's new film... including 3 Yukons for BP himself (that's what we calls him), his bodyguard, Angelina's English nanny, Mary Louise Parker and some others... I am famous by association.

Sort of like when I watch Commander in Chief and the West Wing. I have learned more about how politics really work and how evil the right really is. Without Hollywood I would know nothing about Politics.

With Pitt you learned how to trade in your ex in for a new and improved model.

Too bad you didn't rent to George Clooney ...he could have imparted great wisdom on how a government is supposed to be run.
