| Chris V to ride for..... SUZUKI next season in GP. Man what a waste of an awesome talent. I'd like to think he'll do well, but the Suzuki just ain't cuttin it. http://superbikeplanet.com/2005/Oct/051028a.htm |

| Re: Chris V to ride for..... Old news, man.
Besides, Hopkins said the Suzuki would be much better next year, and since he hangs with Colon sometimes, and I know Colon better than anyone else on the entire planet, that makes me a complete expert on Hopkins, and therefore know everything about the future of Suzuki in MotoGP.
That Suzuki is gonna kick ass next year. It may even get top ten finishes.
Of course, that will mean Colon gets top elevens. |

| Re: Chris V to ride for..... I was hoping we would see Chris on a Honda next year. I don't want to see him riding his heart out every race to finish 14th or crashing the hell out of the GSV-R like Hopper sometimes does. Oh well, I guess Honda didn't need him because they have Dani Pedrosa as their #1 rider who will win the Championship in his first season. |

| Re: Chris V to ride for..... I think he'll do as well as Hopper. I honestly don't believe Suzuki is as focused on MotoGp as they are on WSBK, BSB, AMA, etc... Those are the bikes that sell in the show rooms and they are the dominate force in that area. Therefore he'll do okay and when he does well, it'll be because he's a talented rider and can break through the bikes shortfalls. I see him on a Honda in 08 once he's shown what he can do. Besides the bikes will all be different then so who really knows. |

| Re: Chris V to ride for..... maybe he can help get the bike going in a good directions next year, toward the finish line instead of the pavement or gravel trap.
and he might be a big help in developing the new 800cc bike for 07.

| Re: Chris V to ride for..... I'm a huge fan (I've taken to highside my 1000RR this year to save him from doing that) of CV even though I'm quite sure I don't know his hairfdresser and his does not know mine; the fact that I have no hair may help, but anyway, I think he may surprise lots of people durig 2006 with CEII level tire-castrated mid-pack performances may come as surprise. And I'll guarantee that in unlikely case that he will run several seasons without any results I will not blindly defend him as greattest ever that only got fooked by tire companies/bike factories... |

| Honda offered him a spot! According to Dennis Noyes, Chris turned down a spot on the Pons Camel Honda Team, due to advice given to him by Doohan! http://www.speedtv.com/articles/moto/motogp/20429/
Does he think the Suzy will beat the sattelite RC? Hard call. |

| Re: Chris V to ride for..... wow if I was him I woulda had to say, thanks for the advice Mick but I'm gonna ride the Honda. And I'm not saying that because I'm a Honda fan but because I think its a much better ride than the Suzuki.

Besides, maybe there is something going on at Suzuki that we don't know about. Honda must be pissed at Mick now boy!
So this begs the question: Who will perform better: Hopper or The V?
Hopper must be feeling the pressure now huh?

HD | yeah its all presumptions at this time. I was just saying if it was me and all I know what everyone else knows then I'd take the honda seat. Quote: |

Vermulen just may be every bit as good as Rossi within a year or so, and it seems that Rossi has had pretty good success riding whatever they gave him. If you actually read any of the GP history, you'll discover that every once in a while a rider comes along that can develop a bike, but still win on a "non-competitive" package (sorry Sook but Rossi, Schwantz, Rainey and Doohan could have won championships on Cagivas if they had to). |

And I think thats a big reason why he signed there (so he can help develop the 800cc bike next year). I wish him well he seems like he can really become a great rider.

There doesn't appear to be much pressure on the Suzuki team, they just continue to struggle. i hope they get it together next year. |

| Re: Chris V to ride for..... No need for the apology Atech. I don't agree with you, and Doohan has said that he didn't go to Yamaha coz at the time, they just weren't ready to make the comittment that they were willing to make when Rosi joined, and so I doubt he thinks he'd have won either, and so didn't jump ship. Rossi would not win without his team, and the yammy wasn't that far off to begin with, and he knows that too, or else, why'd he insist on taking them? Either way, it's all talk, coz we'll never get to see it any other way. |
