| Re: Yamaha... No Superbike I had that on my clipboard and ready to paste here... It will suck to not see EBoz in the Superbike field, but maybe he can get Yamaha to put out an effort next year.

| Re: Yamaha... No Superbike I just don't understand it. I mean the WSBK boys had like three teams assembled, they didn't do that great, but at least Haga was competitive. If they truly believe that the R1 is such an awesome package, own up to it and let the boys race it. |

| Re: Yamaha... No Superbike I'm not surprised at all to see them jump into the FX ring first. That is going to be THE series to watch over the next couple years. The 600s are the bread and butter of the sportbike world, and the SuperSport class has been the focal point of sales for that historically. However, having a hot-rod 600 class to show off the capabilities of the middleweights is a dangling carrot the manufacturers can't pass up.
It's the same theory as Superbike for liter bike sales, yet less expensive and basing off the sportbikes that sell more rapidly.
I love it, personally. They'll expand the class to 650cc and we'll see all the factories produce serious 650cc hardware alongside the 600cc street sportbikes. |
