Kurtis Roberts to ride at Valencia
News, 31/10/05

Kurtis Roberts will make his MotoGP comeback this week at Valencia after completing a two-day test at the Almeria circuit with Team Roberts. He will now ride the Proton KR V5 he campaigned in the premier class last year at the final round of this year’s World Championship.

“The test at Almeria went fairly well and we are happy with the results,” commented team manager Chuck Aksland. “We had a significant amount of items to test with the Proton KR V5 which will help our motorcycle development plan for the future and we got through all the items we had to test. Kurtis was riding well and we look forward to his participation at the GP this week in Valencia.”

Roberts, the youngest son of MotoGP legend and team owner Kenny Roberts, saw his rookie season in the elite class dogged by injuries in 2004 and moved back to the AMA scene this year.
