Moto GP Rider Standings

I happened to notice that Colin Edwards finished 4th overall in championship points this year.

Just wondering what you all think about that?

It's because he's too smart to have a "win or crash" attitude.

I think he is the best all around "average" rider in motoGP. And he has proved it with no doubt.

No doubt CE has been the invisible man this year, but I have to admit I was surprised to see he still finished 4th overall right behind Nicky. At least gotta give credit for being consistent.

Thomas Stevens won the AMA championship a few years back without ever winning a race and only had 2 seconds if I remember correctly. He was the invisible man at all the races as he was always there but never seen . . .

He sucked. He didn't have the balls to crash or win....instead he would settle to finish where he could instead of tossing it in the gravel.

In 2-3 years nobody will remember who was 4th place in 2005 MotoGP. That's a worthy spot to finish, but not too much to brag about.

If I took fourth in MotoGP, you'd never hear the end of it.. In fact, if I sat in the fourth row at a MotoGP race, I'd probably work that into a lot of conversations as well.
