Whither (or wither) Max?

Man, this guy has burnt more bridges than Gen. Sherman. Yamaha says 'no thanks' to Camel's millions.

Quote:
from Crash.net

Yet another door appears to have closed in Max Biaggi's face, with his former employer Yamaha - one of the most significant manufacturers still to confirm its 2006 rider line-up - stating that they have no interest in working with the Roman.

With Biaggi's already slim chances of staying on a Honda appearing to disappear further by the day - and with the factory Ducati, Suzuki and Kawasaki seats already occupied - Yamaha looked like Biaggi's last hope of landing a decent 2006 ride.

Although a return to a factory M1 is out of the question - Valentino Rossi and Colin Edwards will again be factory riders next year - it was thought that Camel money may have helped Biaggi seal a satellite M1 seat, perhaps with Tech 3, whose own future appears uncertain after losing title sponsor Fortuna - and star rider Toni Elias - to Team Gresini.
The whole article: http://www.crash.net/uk/en/news_view...d=6&nid=122160

I'd like to see him in WSB. Hell, I'd like to see him in AMA, on a Suzuki 1000- straight up trade for Yates.

I'm sure Mladin would eat him alive.

I'd love to see him with Mladin.

Mladin would make him cry like a gurl.

Not a Biaggi fan, but I think he would fold Mladin like a lawn chair.

edit: just talking about the racing itself...

I'd love to see him try to push Mat off into the dirt... or begin to practice standing starts on the grid when Duhamel is on his hot qualifying lap.. or send his Uncle Guido to discuss podium decorum with "50 cent" Yates..

Re: Whither (or wither) Max?

The thing he wouldn't be able to hack the most in AMA is the fact that the paddock area is open.
The only place he would be able to go cry is in the morothome.
Even then, the fans would be standing right outside it taunting him.
As for racing, he'd hold his own, but the likes of Mladin, DuHamel, etc. would take plenty from him.

I'll take Max any day over a John Koscinski (the definition of whiner). I believe he would clean some serious clock in either WSB or the Amalgamation of Misguided Assclowns.

Do you think his (reportedly considerable) pride would allow him to "step down" from the Moto GP circus? Presumably the Camel money would only be available to him if he's still racing.

He would likely win some races in WSB.. I don't know how he'd deal with the backmarkers here.

Northern..Team KR Proton will supposedly be using Honda engines next year, so that's out .. even if he changes his name to Roberts.

I'd like to see him go to WSBK just simply so there's still a Camel paint scheme out there.
