| Re: Mid-Ohio repaved in 2006 This just might elevate Mid-Ohio to Nirvana status. Love the track, but annoyed by the surface changes. This would change that.
Now I need to add another track to my "want to do in 2006" list. |

| Re: Mid-Ohio repaved in 2006 OH man, I may just have to make the trek out there again. Rode there a couple of years ago. Loved the layout, hated the surface. |

| Re: Mid-Ohio repaved in 2006 Don't get too excited. Just remember what happened the last time they repaved the entire surface (I believe it was around 92). They had 1 (yep, just 1) Indy car race and it tore up the asphalt so badly they had to add the concrete sections because the surface was like whoop-de-doos. I ran 2 races there before they added the concrete and it was great, but as long as you run fast cars with slicks and big brakes, you are going to eat the asphalt on a midwestern track. |

How can we arrange to be the first ones on it after the re-pave? |

| Re: Mid-Ohio repaved in 2006 I was watching a documentary on the Indy Speedway about when they were getting it ready for F1 racing to return and they told how long the asphalt needed to "cure" before it could handle cars with that much HP. I don't remember what that amount of time was though. |
