| Corser vs. Bayliss ccwilli3 and I have a friendly bet going about who is going to be the dominant Troy in WSBK this upcoming year....I say Corser....the guy eased off at the end of last year because he had the title wrapped already...ccwilli3, the Bayliss-loving, flag-toting, band-wagon riding, ass master that he is , thinks it will be Bayliss...he has gone so far as to say that out of 24 or 26 races(12 or 13 rounds) that Bayliss will take at least 20 podiums, 3 doubles and 8 new lap records in addition to winning the title. Now, while I don't doubt the ability of Bayliss and I do think he's gonna win his share of races this year, I don't think he is head and shoulders better than Corser and the K5 Gixxer...they are the only two under 2 mins at the Qatar tire test...so, it's gonna be an interesting year......I say Corser will win the title in a close fight with Bayliss...ccwilli3 thinks Bayliss is gonna "walk the dog" on the field....what you do guys(and gals...your input is solicited as well) think? let's hear it! |

| Re: Corser vs. Bayliss ****er.
Bayliss will pressure corser and corser will crumble... Corser doesn't 'battle' well, he likes to get out front and lead and run his race. He doesn't scrap well and if the bike isn't perfect, he won't outride a problem...
I feel corser will again have the best bike but it won't be a match for the bayliss determination! If bayliss is healthy, he will be the class of the field. I do expect that lanzi will be a factor, but I think the true battle will be the battle of the troys...
For corser to win it, he has to lead from pole, every race and podium, with no mistakes. He, on many occasions last year, had no one pressuring him, especially early in the season... He won't have that advantage in 2006...
Keep in mind people, slowmike was all up on Chris V's bandwagon last year, and I told him it would be corser in a landslide and he didn't believe me... Now he is on corser's sack and won't let go... Take that for what its worth.
****er. |

| Re: Corser vs. Bayliss I think Bayliss has the advantage, no pressure to repeat and he is back where I think he is the best. But, I think there will be pressure from Lanzi, which will make things interesting. We will have to see how the Ten Kate boys do and see if they can stir things up a little. |

Even more impressive was the time he recorded today on qualifying tyres, 1m58.60s, a full three seconds under the pole position mark set by Régis Laconi (Ducati Xerox) in last February's race.
| Bite me. Q tire or not, he's smokin' on that duc... |

| Re: Corser vs. Bayliss alright....we shall see....enough **** talking....I'm putting my money on Corser...Bayliss looks spectular too and I think Bayliss is a kick ass rider, but I'm taking Corser for the title....now, if Bayliss wins in a landslide, then I'll have crow to eat....but if not and Corser wins it(as I predict he will), then I want all of you to bow down to meeeeeeeee!!!!!!!! |
