Particularly this tidbit: Quote: | Is it an accurate description to call Barros a mid-pack rider in MotoGP?—he won a GP last year, but on the whole, his finishes were nothing to proclaim. Regardless, it will be interesting to see how a mid-pack MotoGP rider equates in World Superbike. | Don't we already know full well how a mid-pack MotoGP rider does in the WSBK championship? Other than last year with Corser, haven't all the WSBK champions for the last 5-6 years been mid-pack MotoGP riders? |

| Re: Odd article over at 'Soup Well there is McCoy for one. Really came on in the last few races last year. Barros will win a few, but not the championship, esp with Bayliss back , I think the fight will be better than we've ever seen it. Corser won't walk away with it this year. Haga, Abe, Bayliss, Barros, That new kid riding with Bayliss... It's going to be a fantastic year for WSBK |

| Re: Odd article over at 'Soup But see, that's my point. Bayliss is a previous WSBK champ, and has an excellent shot at it this year, after being a mid-pack MotoGPer. Just like Edwards.
So why the fuss about Barros, who had a far better MotoGP career?
I'm not saying he's a shoe-in for the title by any means, especially with a b-level team, but why dog him about being mid-pack but not others? |
