Depends on the class.

That looks like a superbike, so yes. It's legal for all classes during testing.

No way. They'd hide it better than that! It's not hard to hide a hall effect sensor.

Looked again, you can see the pot on the rear shock for the suspension position, so the bike is instrumented up.

Like LTL said, they're just tryin' to stir it up. It doesn't matter what class bike it is on during testing. The can gather all the info they want then.
