| 2006 MotoGP I can't believe that the 2006 MotoGP starts in a little over a month and nobody has started talking smack about who's going to finish 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th. |

| Re: 2006 MotoGP Yeah I read back through that thread... whoa! I don't know if there was a serious prediction in there. And most of it was before last year even ended. For this coming season I think Hayden will seriously challenge Rossi... or at least make Rossi work harder than he's had to in the last few seasons. I think Hayden has figured some things out and is finally "finding" himself.
Rossi
Hayden
Milandri
Capirossi
Edwards |

| Re: 2006 MotoGP Like I said in that previous thread...Hayden has the talent...the question is the machinery...while Honda has had the best motorcycle the last few years a lot of manufacterurs have made a lot of progress. I think the Ducati riders will win a few this year. Of course Yamaha. Honda will have a lot of podiums if for no other reason the amount of riders on Hondas. Hayden will win the championship if Honda gets the bike to be more flickabe. Powere delivery may also be a concern. Thats my two cents. I have a lot more cents (or sense) but I need to eat breakfast first. |

| Re: 2006 MotoGP If Honda does not use Nickey as a test board. My picks are:
Nickey
Danni
Val
Marco
Sete
But I'm starting to think that's exactly what Honda is doing. And The Sook is going to have one hell of a, "last laugh". It seems while Nickey is mired in testing, Danni and Marco are allowed to simply put in faster lap after faster lap. It's like Hayden was the, "tweener" rider. The one picking up the pieces after the Champ left, only to hand over the reins to the young guns when they are ready. Possibly this year.

| Re: 2006 MotoGP I think Pedrosa will do well......
Nicki is getting better each year with his experience at the tracks..
Colin probably won't do much
Sete needs to retire, Rossi has put a curse on him and he's made it come true..
Melandri will be a force to be reckoned with I think
So,i guess my picks will be
Rossi
Hayden
Melandri
Capriossi
Pedrosa
yep I think that sums it up... Can't wait for the season to start. Gonna pay for my motogp.com subscription in the next few days so I can stream and save everything this year to view whenever I want to.

I wish Vermeulen were going to have better hardware - if so I'd bump him up the list. |

"Rossi's superior race tactics allowed him to fend off Hayden at the fast, flowing Phillip Island circuit. When Rossi realized he was unable to break away from the Repsol Honda rider, he deliberatly slowed the pace, allowing a trailing Melandri to catch up and pass Hayden, momentarily blocking the American's dogged pursuit and allowing Rossi just enough time to escape. "You can't spot him a second around here- anywhere really- with only a few laps to go. Thats asking for trouble", Hayden said. Rossi appreciated the battle.
"Today Nicky was very tough." Rossi admitted after winning on one of his favorite tracks. "I think except Laguna Seca, when he win in front, this is his best race in MotoGP. And he fight at the same level with me, and I am at the maximum, and it means for the future he is very strong." |
