| WSBK: Philip Island 3.5.06 - SPOILER Only caught bits and pieces of both races but what I saw was good. The last few laps of the first race was totally intense I was waiting for pretty much any of them at the front to wad it at any moment.
Toseland is looking pretty strong on the Honda...I wonder how long before he gets his chance at a GP bike |

| Re: WSBK: Philip Island 3.5.06 I just watched all four the two from this week and the two from last week and I can only say WOW... This is going to be a great season in WSBK. I am excited to see what happens when Barros gets his bike on par with the winston bikes, he was flying this weekend.
It is early yet but your right Toseland looked VERY strong on the honda. |

| Re: WSBK: Philip Island 3.5.06 Probably should say "Spoiler" in the title, BTW...
Anyway, Corser had a highside just a few laps into race 2, while running in second or third and looking strong. Barros clipped him - it looked like in the head - as he was down on the track. It might have just been in the back of the hump on his back, not his head, and apparently he wasn't seriously injured.
Bayliss looked awesome in race one - big lead for most of it, riding brilliantly, but then his rear tire starting turning to crap. Suddenly the insurmountable lead was, well, surmounted by Corser, Toseland and Barros.
Barros looked great in both races. Nitro Nori gets awesome starts on the Yamaha, and makes totally insane passes, but the bike just doesn't seem to have the power of the Hondas, Corser's Gixxer and Bayliss' Duc.
Toseland is riding great on the Honda. It should be a great season. Nice to see Barros doing so well after just a few races in WSBK. |

| Re: WSBK: Philip Island 3.5.06 i just got back from Philip island..it was a bloody awesome weekend
i parked my bike right up on the fence next to hayshed going up into luckieheights.. there were foot long flames coming outta the kwakas getting off the gas into turn 9
man i was on a high with bayliss 5 seconds in front first race and then...what 6th??? man i was cut...
2nd race went wicked but yeah poor corser...he's a tough bastard..gets hit in the head by barros at over 100kmh and gets hit a few good meters then rolls over and jumps off the track so he dosnt get killed by the next group....A DNF is not what any of the Troys will want coz im thinking this year will go down to the wire with toseland and barros...
anyway was a great race |

| Re: WSBK: Philip Island 3.5.06 - SPOILER Watched race one and the first 5-7 laps of race two. Where did Barros finish in race 2? I loved watching Barros and Corser in race one. Some damn good racing going on in WSBK. This season is gonna be awesome. I'm very happy that Barros is doing so well on a non factory bike. It's only a matter of time before he grabs his first WSBK win, and I for one will celebrate. Toseland looks really good on the Ten Kate bike. Corser is riding well and Bayliss is well, Troy Bayliss. Who says the twins are done in WSBK? |

Toseland's tire in race two looked a lot like Bayliss' in race one. If Barros was pushing harder what shape would his tires have been in? I think he could have definitely challenged Toseland though. |

| Re: WSBK: Philip Island 3.5.06 - SPOILER In race two did you see when Lanzi took out Muggeridge? What a sportsman Lanzi is. Was trying to get Muggers bike back up for him. You could see how sorry Lanzi was.
See Yates, that's how you should act you bone head even if it is YOUR fault. |

If he were riding a factory bike that could make up even half of the HP difference (probably ~10) to Corser's he would have smoked him. He was riding so much better and the Honda obviously works better in the corners than the 'Zook. He just didn't have enough power. |
