| Moto GP laguna Seca parking For those of you attending the Red Bull Grand Prix, you might want to take this into consideration. I drove in last year and getting out was a total cluster f*ck. I am probably going to ride in this year. http://www.cyclenews.com/ShowStory.asp?HeadlineID=9104 |

| Re: Moto GP laguna Seca parking yeah, I for one sat in traffic for 1.5 hrs on friday, 3 on saturday and 4 on sunday just to get out, barely making my departing flight out of SFO...
I'm not sure how I feel about waiting for a shuttle bus... The guys that rode in last year had it made, I odn't think their frustration level was even one tenth what cage drivers felt... |

Only day I rode out was Sunday as Fri and Sat we partied in the campground with some friends until late before heading to the hotel in the car. |

That meant we were the LAST ones to get out in the afternoon and we left before the last race. Took 2 hours just to get onto the exit road from the lot. We ended up having them walk down the grass hill in front of me and scouting out places that were safe for the little matrix to drive and not get stuck.
This year that back road in through fort ord will be motorcycles only so I think I will be riding in this year. I'll figure out some way to bring folding chairs and a pair of shorts. After all, the 929 trunk is HUGE! |

| Re: Moto GP laguna Seca parking It was a cluster fawk last year. I rode the Barloy Canyon Road all 3 days last year, and it was a disaster. It was two lanes and naturaly the thousands of bikes ae splitting their way up to the front. The cops were writing tickets to thoes that crossed the double yellow, despite not a single vehicle exiting any day. Instead of opening up both lanes "in" the cops drove their cars the wrong way in the "out" lane to keep people out of it. Stupid. Hopefully it will be better this year...reserved MC parking behind the bleachers near turn 11 wont hurt either |

| Re: Moto GP laguna Seca parking There's always the helicopter shuttles. Last year, right after the event I checked and it was around $300 from Monterey airport to the track. $600 from Oakland airport. I forget who the shuttle service was through. They were one of those you saw landing up behind turn 11. |

| Re: Moto GP laguna Seca parking I am driving in from Gilroy to the event. So this shuttle plan means that I will have to pass the track and drive further to the coast to park. Then take a shuttle back to the track.
Am i thinking right? |

| Re: Moto GP laguna Seca parking Parking for non-motorcycles will be at Cal State Monterey Bay. So if you take highway 1 south from Castroville instead of going through Salinas, it's actually less driving. |

| Re: Moto GP laguna Seca parking I'm sooo riding.
Last year SUCKED! (ask Booth).
We were stuck in traffic for hours. Then some ****tared cop decides to cut through traffic and get ahead (long story).
Not gonna do it again.
We have a pace car dragging all of our stuff there.
Can't wait! |

| Re: Moto GP laguna Seca parking You might want to check in to a helicopter shuttle. Really not that expensive if you are a distance away. One I checked was $225/person from the Monterey airport. Last year I heard in the $600 range from Fremont. |
