| Valencia WSBK *Spoiler* Okay races - hard for anything to top the drama we saw in Qatar and Phillip Island.
Pretty impressive showing by Bayliss. Nice to see him take the double over Corser. Also nice to see Lanzi finally show the promise he was showing toward the end of last season.
Bummer that the Hondas of Toseland and Barros were so disappointing. |

| Re: Valencia WSBK *Spoiler* I've been calling it since bayliss signed back for Ducati Corse... Bayliss is hands down the favorite, Corser will be on when he is on and outfront... If he gets pressure, he'll crumble. He'll get pressure every race this year that he didn't get last year... Bayliss is the hardest working man in world superbikes and even on a bike thats down on power compared to his fellow aussie, he still gets it done.
My hat is off to him... |

| Re: Valencia WSBK *Spoiler* I have to give "Baylisstic" his due...the guy is clearly the class of the field...I thought Corser would be able to give him a run, but after that Valencia showing, it doesn't appear so...I didn't agree with Corser's race strategy given the compound of tire he was using.....but, I don't think it would've mattered...Bayliss was and is just better...that's your 2006 WSBK champion.... |

Reference the above thread.

My favorite quikmike quotes, for your amusement: Quote: |
but hey, tests mean nothing...it's the races that count...and I will say it again...I'll take Corser and the Gixxer over Bayliss and the Duc.....now, stick that in your craw!!!!

I think Corser is gonna win this year in a closely contested battle over Bayliss...even if the Duc is competitive...I think the big Gixxer is just that bad...

I do think if they were allowed a weight break, they'd be fine. Weight reduction isn't cheap but I still think it's better than the "GP level" of work they have to do on the 999R to keep it competitive.
Only in the AMA are the ducati's lacking... Perhaps the AMA rules don't allow the level of modifications that WSBK does? |

| Re: Valencia WSBK *Spoiler* Those two races were great in terms of the race for the win. Those two are clearly at a different level than everyone else. Kinda like Rossi and Gibers a few years back.
Watching how Bayliss wrangles that bike around, he's working harder than Corser for sure. WSBK is the series to watch with MotoGP getting more and more interesting. Can't wait for the next rounds of either. |
