Aaron would have never made that pass stick as he would have run waaayyyy wide on that line and speed. He tried using Tommy as a berm. I'm not even sure Tommy seen him. Mladin said when he seen Aaron going in on that line that he knew he (Mladin) would be on the podium due to the impending crash...
IMHO it was a stupid move by Aaron. |

| Re: Tommy and Aaron ?? Irregardless of what you think was going to happen (And I'm an Aaron hater), Yates was holding the inside line at the moment and Tommy swooped in and caused contact. You see racers take the inside line all of the time and the guy caught out squares off to retake at the end. Tommy did none of that and continued his turn-in.

| Re: Tommy and Aaron ?? **SPOILER** Aaron definitely owes Tommy an apology for that bone-headed move. He was clearly too hot up the inside, couldn't slow down, and pulled a Rossi to take Tommy right off of the podium. Or maybe it was just Team orders to get Mat on the box...? |

| Re: Tommy and Aaron ?? **SPOILER** I only got to see it once and then on the replay (I didn't record it). But I saw none of the spearing manuver you're talking about. I looked like Yates' front wheel was at least up to Haydens forks. I was suprized when Tommy turned it in and imagined the impending collision just before it happened. Then it did. Maybe if I got to see it a few more times it might look different.

| Re: Tommy and Aaron ?? **SPOILER** it's a damn shame... Tommy was well on his way to a second place finish very early in the year for such a new superbike program! Only to have a beyond the limit move by yates spoil it. Yates, passed the third place rider (he in fourth, mladin in fifth) and ran into hayden, pushing him wide, the third place rider wide (duhammel?) and allowing mladin to cruise by and get second. Yates definitly didn't have the pace to compete and a wild on the brakes move like that was the only chance he'd have... If anyone has a clip of it, post it up!
Too bad for hayden. Welcome to superbike. |

| Re: Tommy and Aaron ?? **SPOILER** I too thought that was Yate's fault, just watched the race tonight and that was a stupid move by yates and screwed a good rider out of a podium finish. Yates should get his ass kicked for that move. |

| Re: Tommy and Aaron ?? **SPOILER** Sounds like a good race. I just got back into town last night and have only watched Race 1 so far. I'll watch the others (wsbk) and AMA race 2 tonight w/ the wife, after mowing the grass, running a few miles, maybe lift weights, dinner....then after watching the races I'll be starting a paper that I need to write about the Mondavi Winery. I think I like grad school.
