Formula Extreme @ Barber, high-side

So, did anyone catch the slo-mo replay of the dude in the black leathers highside, and pop his head off?

That was the most "cringe inducing, head lolling around on shoulders" shot I've ever seen.

No announcer updates, even though they said they would, and that's no suprise.

That was really ugly. I found this update:
"Privateer racer Nathan Hester also crashed his Yamaha YZF-R6 violently, during Saturday’s AMA Formula Xtreme race at Barber. According to AMA Pro Racing Superbike Media Manager, Hester was taken to a local hospital where he was diagnosed with a broken shoulder."

Glad it wasn't any worse!

Any one think about of of the new neck protectors.

http://www.motorcycledaily.com/24april06_neckbrace.htm

I didn't like thta track it seemed like it had to many gard rails to close to crash zones like the one this guy had.

Oh and nice to see Roberts on the podium!
