Re: LeMans GP Discussion

This weekend HRC changed a whole bunch of parts on the bike Hayden's riding. Even though he's faster on the other bike that Pedrosa and the others are riding, he'll still do fine. He might miss the podium this time around, but he'll do better than Edwards in ninth.

Re: LeMans GP Discussion

Only riders lapping in the 35's consistently are Edwards, Rossi, and Pedrosa. If it's dry those guys will probably be battling for the front.

If it rains then Rossi will be up there and the Stoned riders will have a nice gift which should see Nakano up at the front and hopefully Hopkins.

Re: LeMans GP Discussion *SPOILER*

Even without any points, Rossi still proved that he was in a class of 1. He's got a lot of ground to make up to win this year... which he will. Unless there really is a voodoo curse on him.

Freaking awesome pass Melandri made on Pedrosa.

Very entertaining race. Somebody at Yamahahahahahahaha is getting yelled at right now.

Nick, the announcer, seems to be getting worse each race. Very weird.

Re: LeMans GP Discussion *SPOILER*

Unbelievable what happened to Rossi. How could his bike be so good this year, and so crappy this year? He's obviously still the best rider in the world, but his hardware is letting him down.

I wonder where Hopper would have wound up if he hadn't tucked it?

Expected more from Nicky - hopefully he can actually win a couple of races this year instead of just piling up the points while the others trade victories as Rossi struggles.

Re: LeMans GP Discussion *SPOILER*

Since it appears that Nicky is running a devlopment package, I'm surprised he has finished in the top ten this year. Many riders have quit or just broken the bikes when they feel they have a chance to win, but the bike is an experimental one-off.

I remember several years ago when they tried to pull the development package on Wayne Rainey. After 2 so-so finishes, he had his boss swap back to the previous chassis because he was fighting for the championship.

Nicky will either prevail on new stuff or will continue to fight the bugs inherent in any untested product.

Ladies and gentlemen today's race is the exact reason I ride a Honda! Rossi should never have parted ways with the Repsol team..... I almost feel bad for him, and in all honesty I would but he's on a Yamaha! HAHAHAHA......

Come on man, that's just crazy talk. The most your Honda has in common with Repsol Honda is the Honda sticker. Manufacture loyalty should only go so far.

I feel bad for Rossi. He JUST escaped a crazy first turn incident and eventually pulls a 4 second lead on Pedrosa (who's very very impressive and hungry), and boom goes the engine. Can Rossi mathematically win the championship now? Or does he have to basically win out?

I want to see some hunger/fight from Hayden! I want to see him fight it out even on greasy tires on the last lap. I want other riders to get worried when they see their board "Hayden - 0.5"
He can't come close to hanging with the rookie Pedrosa (lap time wise), or Rossi when his bike's running, and even riders like Stoner and Hopkins are looking better and better.

I know I'll get flamed by the Hayden fans, but other than his podium finishes, it doesn't really seem like he'll be a real threat to take (or hold onto) the championship, unless the better riders take each other out and Hayden gets more "conservative podium point" finishes. It would not be right to crown someone the champ if they never actually won a race.

Re: LeMans GP Discussion *SPOILER*

All is not what is seems in Motogp...Hayden from what I hear was sick and also may have been riding a development bike...also you cant always go balls out when you are fighting for a championship...sometimes you have to be strategic and settle for a points earning position or risk falling and losing everything. The reason I don't feel sorry for Rossi is because this will make the season more interesting...I am tired of seeing a race for second with Rossi blowing everyone else away. Also I believe a lot (ok maybe not a lot) of the parts that we have on our bike (pro link suspension, etc...) were derived from the motogp machines.
