Off to Road America.... Anyone Coming?

Me and the boys are doing our annual Road America Trip. Leaving tomorrow morning going through the Kettle Moraine..... Hanging out over night at one of the guy's sisters house. Then three days at Elkhart Lake......

Got the Vacation Cottage Tent III.... 14x14 and 8'6" ceilings... bring to Grattan.

If your coming up PM me and we will swap cell numbers and hang out for a brat and some turn five carnage.

I'm heading out early Friday morning, probably stopping at Corse Superbikes in Saukville (Milwaukee) in the morning, then heading to the track. We'll have bikes on the trailer Friday, but ride to the track Sat and Sun from Fond Du Lac, heading back home Monday morning. GO 17!!!

Are you camping? Where are you staying at? We stay at a Shooting club... they let us use their field.... it is great

Naw, we stay at some hotel on the west edge of FDL. If you see someone holding up a huge "17" banner, that's where I'm sitting

Lat year we moved around a bit. I used to sit in the stands at the bottom of hurry downs just before the carousel, but ever since they put the supermoto track in, they killed the PA speakers there for the main track, all you can hear is the SM stuff.

Well, we arrived at the track about noon today. Wandered around the pits for most of the afternoon, then went down to turn 5 to watch some of the superbike qualifying. I ran into a really nice old guy (and his wife) walking up the hill from turn 5, just about the time it started raining. We got to talking about qualifying times, and a few of the riders; I talked to him for quite a while. I gave him the program that I had because he didn't have a schedule. REALLY nice guy, seemed to know quite a bit about motorcycles, too. He even had a Honda bicycle! Interesting name, too, Yvon.

One time Miguel and his brother were complaining that the bikes they were racaing were slow and non-competetive. His response? " Then why are you hitting the brakes so early?"

We might have even ended up on the screen, there was a camera pointed right at us during the sighting lap as we were holding up the "17" banner.
