Cool. Are there many different tracks in the Isle of Mann? Or is there just the one track?

One course, road course with a portion in the 'city' and the rest in the countryside on roads normally used for traffic. It's the oldest motorcycle race in the world.

Re: Isle of Man TT - "Mad Sunday"

I've scene another video but it showed more of the city part. I thought it was one track but after this little video I wasn't sure. I guess the track is so long its hard to tell.

There is only one course for the actual TT meeting (the 37mile mountain circuit), but there is another shorter course on the Island used for the Southern-100 events known as the Billown Circuit which is about 4.5m long and on the southern tip of the island (funnily enough)

if you're feeling like treating yourself I'd definately reccomend ordering a recent copy of one of the TT Review DVD roundups that dukevideo produce each year, lots of on-board and trackside footage, totally mind-bending what these guys are doing, also includes interviews and some history etc. I've got the 03 and 04 DVDs and theyre awesome.

Not sure why this is in Road Racing: Professional forum.

Just a bunch of loons trying to kill themselves. Looks great fun though.

Yeah, this is "open". Not the closed course.
IOMTT, Le Mans, and the Monaco GP, are my favorite races.
I always wanted to run IOM, but my day has come and gone. I guess I could still tool-around with these other monkeys, though.

You could always do the side car event

Whoo..... I don't know. Here is a link to some local guys that had the balls to go do the IOM. Please note: They had a very serious crash in practice.

Consider some help, if so inclined.
