I don't know exactly why, but the crashes this weekend are still really bothering me. Specifically, the horrendous MotoGP start and Bostrom's crash.

Brother - that start could have ended a few rider's seasons. And one reason the MotoGP is good this year is because the Ducs and Capirossi were doing well. Darn, Capirossi was tied for the points lead. More than one rider could have been physically ruined in that mess.

Okay now Ben's crash: There he is - REALLY going for the win. Things are looking good and WHAM - something that can ONLY happen on a motorcycle. I didn't see a darn thing he did wrong. Tire was a little hot, or who-knows-what and there it went. Fruck.

So, I don't know if it's because I've experienced both these kind of things. Or if it's because it screws up the competition. Or if it's because I'm getting old and scared. Or what?. But they bug me.

This ain't NASCAR. I don't think any of us watching these races are hoping to see a wreck. I know I'm not.

Same here, after my highside last season that left me a broken wrist and bruised all over the crashes on the TV have bothered me quite a bit too. I think first hand experience really makes you understand the hazards of the sport.

I must be getting old and scared too. But what can you do, once a track-junkie always a track-junkie, at this very minute I'm heading out for 3 days day of track action in

Well its a bit more difficult to deal with when you know the person that crashes...I just went to a wake yesterday and another one a few weeks ago. In the past week five local riders have died...makes you think twice about pushing the limits on the street.
