| British GP Donnington - SPOILER Evil Damien wins again. He nearly dumped it on lap 3 with an immature attempt to stuff Melandri, but kept it up. When his tires fully came in, he was unbelievably fast. Too bad. He's Biaggi in training.
Hayden was making his way up the standings, followed by Rossi, but inexplicably detoured through a gravel trap and fell to 11th. He finished in 7th, but Vale made it to 2nd. The doctor was phenomenal. Melandri has this track wired as well.
Stoner and Roberts ran very well.
Relatively slow track - it was reported that the Suzukis were only using gears 1-4.
Full MotoGP race results from the British Grand Prix at Donington Park, round nine of the 2006 world championship.

The Craner Curves slow you down a lot, still fairly quick, but nothing like super fast. Quite steep downhill section with twists and turns thrown in. You have to be very very careful there. An easy place to have a big accident. Ask me how I know!! |

| Re: British GP Donnington - SPOILER It's just a lame attempt at showing off.
But having done a few laps there last year on a trackday I can tell you that the temptation to give it some beans as you come out of Redgate, over the top and then drop into Craner Curves, is irresistable. About half way down you realise you're going way too fast, the turns are all in the wrong place and the track needs to another 20 yards wider to make it comfortable. Ahhhgghhh, grass, ahhhgghh brakes, oh **** I'm way out of my depth. Couple more of those and you soon learn to take it easy. That or you take a short ride in an ambulance. |

#5 | | | Re: British GP Donnington - SPOILER Awesome save & win by Pedrosa!! Nicky had a nice save of his own. Can't believe Melandri blew the 2nd place position at the last moment after making a nice pass on Val. Look at Roberts near the top...... awesome!! | |

Nicky will always be my boy. I was bummed to see him starting (and finishing) so far back, but it was cool to see him fight his way back to end the race where he did to remain in the lead points wise! |

I think he's a great racer/rider and I like that he's proving everyone wrong who said he's too small to ride the big bike competitively. One of the reasons I like Rossi so much isn't just that he's an amazing racer, its how great his interviews are. Pedrosa is just such a bore to listen to.

| Re: British GP Donnington - SPOILER I'm not a Pedrosa fan by any means...but I think most of you are underestimating the tremendous amount of pressure that has been heaped upon him. Hard to say if any of us would have any joy left under those circumstances....
