| *SPOILER* German GP What a race!
What a season!
Not a great track for passing, but maybe that made the passes that much more exciting. The final few laps were really fun to watch. ROSSI!!! 11th on the grid, making unreal passes by several people at a time in the early laps, picking off the leaders one by one, and then dicing with Melandri on the last few laps. The guy is just unreal.
Hayden rode his butt off (he needed to!), and thank goodness he kept that sour little Spaniard behind him at the end, despite Dani's attempt to nearly t-bone his teammate toward the finish.
I loved the full lap they showed from Melandri's bike chasing Rossi. The elevation changes in that track really look like fun.
Too bad KRjr took out Tamada like that.
Laguna Seca should be fun... |

| Re: *SPOILER* German GP Thanks to PurpDust for showing me how worth it the online subscription is. No commercials, full coverage before, during, and after the races. And yesterday I figured out how to hook up the notebook to the TV and run the audio over the sound system. Pic is a little pixely blown up to 50", but a lot better than watching on the notebook... |

| Re: *SPOILER* German GP that was one of the best races so far this year (although I think it was Motegi that I missed).
Rossi is just amazing. Capirossi rode a hell of a race too considering his injuries too. I was kinda dissappointed to see Hayden fade a little there after losing first. but those first 4 guys were really moving.
Too bad KRJR made that stupid mistake and took out Tamada but atleast he seemed really apologetic about it and generally concerned for Tamada's health.

| Re: *SPOILER* German GP Great race!
Boy, I wish Capirossi had not been taken out before. It would be even better this year.
Unfortunately, the Roberts team, that I predicted would come on this year, had a BAD race strategy:
Roberts jr. qualifies second and lets everyone pass so he can follow Rossi. He wanted to watch his line to: A. a see how he passed the fast guys and B. see how he dealt with his tires later in the race.
It backfired when Rossi decided to take off, early. That forced Roberts to make a move too soon because he needed to catch up.
Roberts said he was going to follow Rossi in his pre-race interviews. |

He lost time by getting hit twice by the midget on the last lap.
Whatever the case, I thought nothing could top Mugello. Donnington was a sleeper, but holy crap on a stick. That race was fantastic. I was actually shaking, I was so nervous during the last three laps. It took about 20 mins to calm down. I'm yelling at my tv and cursing Dani at every turn. Nicky needs the win at Laguna to add to his cushin.
I really like how CEII summed it all up Quote: |
