If Hayden Wins this Season Will he use #1

Do you think Hayden will keep 69 or use #1?

Will Honda pressure Hayden to use #1?

I think he's too humble. Don't think he'd use it.

I think he will do whatever Honda askes of him. If they give him a choice, I think he would keep his number.

I think Rossi will come back to win the whole thing but... I don't think Hayden would change his number. He didn't in AMA when he won and Honda never made Rossi change his. I did read a funny story where Honda was pressuring Rossi to drop 46 so for the following season he had an even larger 46 on the front. Cocky B*stard.

With Hayden ahead by 26 points and 7 races left, Rossi will have to do the best riding of his life. Not only that, he has to come in at least second this weekend to even have any chance at all! But we all know the Americans will take all three podium spots. So if Rossi gets fourth, and with no reason to believe that Hayden will not win Seca, that leaves Rossi 42 or more points behind Hayden with only 6 races left. Assuming Rossi wins the rest (Not a given), with hayden coming in second or third (something very possible once the number crunchers at HRC realise the score and hand out team orders to the little fun killer), he still has a giant mountain to climb. Hayden only needs to be consistant to win the tital at this point.

The only problem is one DNF by Hayden with win by Pedrosa or Rossi and it is all even again

You been drinking this morning all ready Nedro? Rossi will do no worse than 2nd this weekend and will most likely win. With experience from last year and the changes done to the track for this year, Hayden and CE's "advantage" has been drastically reduced.

I highly doubt there will be team orders against the bot unless he tosses it and is out of the running and even then Rossi will take the title.

Or one by Rossi, or one by the fun killer. We all know the fun killer tends to overheat turns from time to time.

Nicky never defended his superbike title so he never had the option of running the #1.

He's a company man, and if Honda wants him to run #1, he will.

IF he wins it. He will change it because that's something Honda has wanted for a long time.

It's been known that Rossi not displaying #1 on his bike was one of the first things that started to piss off the bosses. He put the #1 on his leathers, to say "I'm #1, not the bike". Or so I believe. HRC wants the plate and Nicky will display it, if he wins it.

I think it was his father's number.
Was anyone watching FP1. Hayden was sandbagging on the first split and the third split. On one lap, Hopkins came across the start/finish right after Hayden. Then Hayden put down his worse first split of the session. I also noticed that last year, he took a way different line into T1 than anyone else.
