| Re: Laguna 06: RACE SPOILER its too bad Rossi's bie blew up. With 4 on the grid he's the only one that has this problem. I guess when you wring out a turd you will occasionally get **** on your hands. Nicky obviouly works vey hard. keeps his mouth shut does his job. He deserves all the credit for where he is and should enjoy his vacation. |

Exxon said the Valdez had a minor leak that was under control. He was making up ground until the big plumes of smoke started. Sounds like corporate BS so Yamaha can save face. Motorcycle racing is all rider but the rider has to be on arunning bike at the finish and that has been a big problem for Vale this year because the competition is tougher. |

He was catching the front two until smoke from the engine. You could tell something was up when the camera cut to turn 10 were Rossi should have been and like 2 seconds later Chris V. shows up in the camera.
If anyones engine was overheated you should have seen the start to Formula Extreme race. Then I might believe that claim.
Anyway, congrads to Nicky and the Repsol Team. I am a little worried that Repsol may put some pressure on Honda to have Pedrosa win the championship. |

| Re: Laguna 06: RACE SPOILER Rumour floating around is that Rossi has a "pass switch" which is essentially a rev-limiter bypass to help pass other riders. Supposedly he got a little over-zealous with said magic switch. Sounds kinda like bullshit. |

| Re: Laguna 06: RACE SPOILER Actually I think Rossi's year is Karma biting him in the ass. Remember a couple of years ago when he had the attitude that "There is none faster than me" and would say it everytime he got in front of a microphone.
He ain't said it this year.
Go Hayden. |

| Re: Laguna 06: RACE SPOILER If a slower pace in which a bike is still running over 100MPH causes a bike to run hot the Rossi has bigger problems than a bad tire.
I can put around all day at 35 Mph and the fan will never kick on. My bike doens't run hot, even in 100+ degree temps. |

Really? My 954 and 600rr were in the 200s pretty much all the time on the track. Both would be in the low 220s in 85 and above weather if I was in stop and go. |

I can make a pass at the track on a blazing hot day, use the bike afterwards as a pitbike, make a trip down the road on it, pull through the staging lanes, make another pass, and still not have any temp problems.
well, I haven't yet |

It looks like the Big Bang is living up to its name pretty well. |

| Re: Laguna 06: RACE SPOILER No offence but you have a pretty different type bike. They have more $ in R&D in the seat than is in your whole bike.
It is just bullshit from Yamaha not wanting to own up to the problem and throwing the tire guy under the bus again. |

All jokes aside Congrats to Nicky for a fantastic ride he definately deserved the win with such a strong and consistent performance over the whole race distance, was also a great ride by little thumbalina I was a bit dissapointed for CV to drop off so much in the last few laps after leading so strongly for 2/3rds of the race. definately think he deserved a spot on the podium, but thats racing I guess Also dissapointed that Casey fell off again although Im starting to get used to it |

| Re: Laguna 06: RACE SPOILER CV ran a great race. Supposedly there was a fuel peoblem at the end that slowed him down. I'm sure Suzuki's formal word will be that a tear off stuck to Chris' glove and he was unable to twist the throttle fully as it became tangled around the hand grip. |

In my opinion CV was still the star of the weekend. If not for technical difficulty he would have podiumed. I've been saying all along that it will not take long before he will start kicking Hopper's ass. This guy has skills that not that many current MotoGP riders have, he can ride around bike problems and superbly adapt to what is available from the bike plus superb race craft and bike development skills. I watched pretty much all his races in WSBK and he made that Fireblade shine there, a bit like Rossi has made the M1 shine. |
