Very disappointing and surprising results for Edwards and Hopper, especially after last year. | |

| Re: Laguna 06: RACE SPOILER Didn't Hayden back-up laguna with a pole and a second last year? Didn't that also start his podium streek of which he's only missed one since? Doesn't he ride the development bike of which the Fun Hater (DP) admits to not being able to ride?
BTW, CV did not have problems until well after Hayden passed him.
Who else thought Rossi was an ass to try to get one point with no regard to oiling down the track? The only good thing that happened there was that the engine blew before puking out its oil.

Tossers.
Nicky.
Nothing would be more awesome than showing the euro-centric bitches that abound in GP what's what.
What's up with the Roberts team?! If they start putting that bike on the podium, there are going to be lots of people needing catsup for their crow pie. |

| Re: Laguna 06: RACE SPOILER I wondered that too. As soon as I seen Rossi's bike spewing smoke I thought for sure he was getting off the track. Then I was worried that Hayden might come around and hit it and bin it, like that's never happened! Thankfully that never did. During the interviews Hayden mentioned that he smelt oil and slowed down because he was worried about it. How the hell could you smell anything in 130 deg. temps, that's just crazy azz hot! I really feel for those guys to go out and race in conditions like that and perform..... They all earned their money yesterday. Asimo sure performed well too, heck the midget even cracked a few smiles and with his broken English managed to say "I......love...America", stop the press, he does speak! Hell it's not like we (America) didn't treat these guys nice since they showed up! I know why Edwards never really performed.... you stick hot azz blonde like that next him and expect his concentration to NOT be broken please, I know exactly what he was thinking the whole race...."I just gotta finish this **** then I can have her all to myself...muahahahahah....muahahahahahaha....." |

| Re: Laguna 06: RACE SPOILER How come everyone roots for Hayden and not for Roberts?
I don't get it.
The FASTEST bike is the KR bike with KR jr. I watched for 3 days and I promise it is one great motorcycle/rider combo. If KR had multiple bikes like Hayden, I think everyone would be wondering what to do next to catch KR.
The second fastest was Melandri.
But there is so much more to winning a race, especially in outrageous conditions like this last weekend. 150 degree track temps on a technical course mess with your set-up.
I am paranoid - I sure hope Roberts Sr. didn't have to agree to come in behind the other all Honda teams to get the engine.
I LOVE racing. I watched every single activity for three days. |

| Re: Laguna 06: RACE SPOILER I don't think anyone has taken him seriously for quite a while. It sure looked like he'd lost all desire on the Zook, often losing to even his teammate who isn't all that spectacular among the rarified freaks who inhabit the MotoGP grid.
A couple more finishes like that, and he'll have some of his fans back... |

| Re: Laguna 06: RACE SPOILER my thoughts.
shame about the track surface. wow, how do you screw that up? Maybe they should pave it again now and let it cure all winter. again, wow I say...
CV was awesome. That zook is much better and I've always been a fan of chris the V. I think nicky would have caught him, but I really wanted the 2004 double race winner on the podium. He's making hopper, who only claims to be american at the USGP, look really bad at times.
Team KR, wow. Hope they have 800cc contracts with honda for next year to keep the momentum going... They have always cranked out a great chassis, just haven't had a chassis in the 4 stroke modern GP era. I hope they land a good sponsor and start laying it to more factories.
Mini mouse. Wow is this guy a threat. Here's hoping DORNA will grow a set and set forth a minimum rider/bike weight for next year or 2008. Otherwise, on a 800cc bike that weighs about the same, he could be almost unstoppable. He isn't a 3x world champion for nothing. He can corner faster, brake later and accelerate faster. it's physics and he has it squarely in his corner. First time at laguna and gets second. wow.
Colin. don't do too well at the suzuka 8 hours or you might be haga's teammate next year. Not that it's a bad place to be...
Nicky. Not the dominating, leading every lap from pole, true definition of home GP castration that we saw last year, but one hell of an effort. I've always been a KKid fan and he showed championship form in the face of serious home GP pressure. The hump taken away from corkscrew entry took away some of the 'trickiness' involved and some of the guys found some speed over the year. Looking good and as I've heard at times, consistency wins championships...
Rossi. He's the man, the rhetoric surrounding throwing in the towel is just that. He's still the champion and he could very easily win the rest of the races this year. He and burgess are nearly an unstoppable team. He's still the favorite in my book with pedrosa and hayden being the biggest threats to his championship streak. |

| Re: Laguna 06: RACE SPOILER Yea, I agree with about everything ccwillli stated.
I was chewing off my fingernails thinking Hayden was going to either slow his pace down due to his tires or lowside it out of adrenaline and that Pedrosa was going to win it. What a job catching CV and pulling out a good lead. Although time (lead wise) was on Hayden's side, I was getting nervous about Rossi passing another and another and another. He was and usually is amazing.
Wow, MotoGP has been OUTSTANDING this year!
Pedrosa has some awesome speed out there, and although he makes agressive mistakes, he's goes balls to the wall and flys right back in the thick of things.
I didn't read the Soup links or the MotoGP links, but Nicky told Greg White he was very very nervous before the start of the race. His pre-race interview kind of displayed that in his voice. Hayden did awesome and it was fun to watch him celebrate afterwards. Talk about pressure!
Way to go Nicky!
I'd still like to see Hayden dominate one race over in Europe to crown his possible championship. Although with today's competition, that's not likely. |
