I have no doubts he is one of the hottest commodities, and part of the future.
But Honda has more committment to Nick...Nick knows where the family jewels are...the recipe to the secret sauce. |

| Re: Hayden going to Ducati next season? i beleive nicky will be moving next year. for the following reasons:
1. Honda will put their future on a very young and talented rider (pedrosa)
2. Nicky will have the first choice to go to any bike and be the #1 rider
3. The RC211 is considered to be the best bike in Moto GP, and Nicky will switch bikes just to prove to any doubters (is that a word?)
4. Suzuki will have an advantage in the new format 800cc (they have the best 750cc) very close in engine demensions
5. Yamaha might try to take Nicky away from Honda (Edwards isn't doing much) and have the best two riders in Moto GP
6. Ducati has the two oldest rider and will replace them with two young riders (Nicky and Stoner) I personally think Stoner is a very good rider and Champ material in the near future
7. Wouldn't it be sweet to have all 3 Hayden brothers on the same bike? Especially Nicky as the #1 rider for Big Green?
8. Honda has been known to give-up very talented riders for no reason at all
I personally believe that Nicky is better that Rossi, he just needed to learn the tracks that Rossi has been racing on his entire racing career |

| Re: Hayden going to Ducati next season? Yes...Honda probably has no idea of how to build a 750....or an 800 for that matter.

| Re: Hayden going to Ducati next season? The GSXR1000 is closer in engine dimensions to the GSVR 990 than the GSXR 750 will be to the GSVR 800, so why is the current GSVR not kicking ass when the current GSXR seems to have an advantage over the others?
Pretty hard to not have the best 750 when NOBODY else makes one.
Wouldn't it have been sweet to have the third Hayden on a Honda when two were at the same time already?
When has Honda "just given up for no reason" their best rider?
Hayden is great, but Rossi is an overall better rider. Rossi is just being out done this year due to consistency on Hayden's part. Hayden is riding consistent, well and smart.
I don't care who is riding for Ducati, they can't outspend Honda or Yamaha and the MotoGP class would require them to do so to win a title. Ducati will win races and do fine, but not win a title. Not even with Rossi.
Yamaha already tried to outbid Honda for Hayden. They'll probably try again, but they know it is smarter to go after someone that still needs a few years of grooming and won't take points away from Rossi in their title hunt. Thus the reason for them going after Stoner.
That entire list is quite laughable, actually. |

| Re: Hayden going to Ducati next season? here is the thing, rossi has 1 more year of racing (even though he has a 2 year contract). he wants to switch over to 4 wheels before he is past his prime. without rossi in the mix, i feel that hayden will be the top rider no matter where he ends up. it would be perfect timing for him to switch after this year (hopefully to either Ducati or Kawasaki) |

| Re: Hayden going to Ducati next season? hey...i dont post here much ...but i HAD to chime in on this
according to your list
#1..japanese compianes reward loyalty very well...nicky has been loyal and never bitched about a thing...
hrc knows this...and remebers it well...no way they let nicky go...he'll ask for a raise...he'll get it
honda will keep him just to see that #1 on thier bike IF AND THATS A BIG BIG IF HE GETS IT....7 races to go still
honda is pedrosa, hayden, milandri, and either stoner or another 250 step up
yes pedorsa will be the number 1 guy next year....but nick will be 1a...honda gonna need him...rossi is going to be pissed next year
#3 no way nicky will switch....to prove a point...no freaking way...tottaly out of character
#4 the suzuki gsxr is a better AMA superbike because of.....miladin/ spies/ team yoshimura....
it is not a better superbike than the cbr 1000 or r1...a bit more developed maybe but it has the better riders in AMA
look at WSB...that will tell you a bit more
yes suzuki might have the best 750 STREETBIKE...so what
an 800 suzuki I4 is going to get thrashed by the multicylinder honda next year....in 1998 the rvf 750 made more HP than the NSR 500...honda has been waiting a long long time for this day...800cc gp bikes
#5 and #6 ...yes others will try to steal nicky away...not going to happen...hrc wont let him go...you forgot ...rossi left...hrc tried to keep him...he said no
as for nicky better than rossi...sorry bro but no
count the world championships...
please dont take this personally...i have been watching GP's since i was 14
yes this is my opinion...and that is yours...not trying to be a dick....but some of that stuff is crazy |

| Re: Hayden going to Ducati next season? about nicky vs rossi, do you think if you took rossi right now and put him in the AMA superbike, he would win as many chmapionships here? remember he has to learn the tracks first and it would take him at least two season if not three to learn all the tracks and win the championship (i.e. Laguna Seca 2005 he couldn't keep-up with nicky)
rossi left HRC because they waited till the last minute to try and re-new his contract (it wasn't for the $$$).
the main reason why i think nicky will leave honda is that HRC will make pedrosa their #1 rider and that won't go well with nicky. why would honda give pedrosa the 2005 RC211, which has been set-up and track tested for a year and then give nicky a new chasis to develop at the begining of the year? thankfully the gamble worked and nicky was able to be consisted while developing a new bike. |

| Re: Hayden going to Ducati next season? When Doohan was the #1 rider for Repsol-Honda, no one ever suggested that the Spaniard Creville would take his place until he was good and ready to leave.
Hayden's no Doohan, but kirb929 has a point - Honda wants that #1 plate, it makes really nice pictures. Quote: |

As soon as he wanted them. I like the AMA guys, but c'mon, you think Spies could ride with Rossi? |

| Re: Hayden going to Ducati next season? Bigsapoteer, you are extremely dilusional about the quality of guys in AMA vs Rossi. About the ONLY thing you can possibly say is that Rossi is not used to bumpy American race tracks. As far as I know the quality of the european tracks are far above anything the American's have. I could be wrong.... But seriously you can believe whatever you want. I believe the sky is green, but that don't make me right. Nicky is a huge talent, I'm not disagreeing with you. But the ONLY time he's been truly competitve is when Rossi either DNF or started so far back, there really wasn't much he could do to win. Rossi absolutely dominates in almost every race when he's healthy and the bike isn't acting strange. He can take off and stay ahead generally no problem. Nicky still has to duke it out with the other riders to pull out a win. That alone is indicative of the talent gap. It isn't about "learning" the track, Rossi is just a bette rider, period. |

Rossi can win anywhere at anytime. You could probably put him on a bicycle and he'd find a way to show up at the front of the pack. |
