| Re: Hayden going to Ducati next season? I'm surprised no one has mentioned the brain to mass ratio.
Though you guys are probably a little tall to have twigged to that.
No, really -
LTL's right. Now go back to sleep and pay no attention to the pod growing in your garage. |

Decent first order comparison for straightline stuff. | I did it on my handheld, so I knew it was close..
Now multiply that for the number of corners in a race and it will shock you how much more power has to be dissipated by the brakes and tire...
Edit: typo

| Re: Hayden going to Ducati next season? I did it on the 48GX first just comparing force differential for a given speed...but decided I wanted to play more. |

| Re: Hayden going to Ducati next season? Question: isn't weight an asset at 'speed'? Yes, Hp/weight rules most (assuming similar aero) during acceleration, BUT, assuming equal aerodynamics, equal torque on the ground, isn't a little more weight an asset to top speed? Might take you a little longer to get there, but will you ultimately go faster? |

| Re: Hayden going to Ducati next season? You wouldn't go "faster", about the only good thing weight does for high speeds is make it more stable, provided the weight is in the right spots. |
