| Hayden going to Ducati next season? The article is in Spanish but it says that Hayden is talking to Ducati about next season. They are also interested in Stoner.
If there's interest I'll translate it but it doesn't go much further than that... Motociclismo - Competicion - Resultados |

It would definitely be a mistake to let him go, but HRC better be prepared to make him very happy and comfy because other teams are going to be "knocking on Hayden's door" with very sweet offers... |

It cracks me up how he acts like he has some kind of rivalry with Hayden. That's like your local high school basketball star saying he has a rivalry with Jordan. Yeah, Jordan is only better because he got a deal with a better shoe company and got on a better team. |

Hayden with Ducati in 2007? There were negotiations in Dry Gap
Nicky Hayden, leader of the world one of MotoGP, maintained contacts this weekend in Dry Gap with representatives of Ducati with the objective that the American you pray him the next season in the rows of the house of Borgo Panigale.
The Ducati began very strong the year, with the victory of Loris Capirosi in Jerez, but the bad luck with the wounds of the Italian pilot and also of Spanish Gibernau, added to the problems of the Ducati to find an ideal tire for put all the power of the motorcycle on the asphalt, as has occurred in the past great prize. All it, has impeded that the good results proliferate and has favored that the Italian leaders look at toward the future.
As much Capirosi as Gibernau finalize contract by the end of 2006 and, although the chief of Ducati, Livio Suppo only has had words of compliment for its pilots, the Italian mark confirms its interest by Hayden shortly after the one that already they had shown for pilots of the size of Casey Stoner, Framework Melandri or Jorge Lorenzo, although this last one has determined to remain in 250 c.c. a season more.
The American Hayden carries four seasons in the category reign including the present that, without doubt, is being the best, something that Ducati not passed through high. To part of it strictly sports, Hayden would be a perfect claim for the American market, the most important one for its sales, which have enlarged a 30% during the present exercise 2006. Nicky finalizes contract in 2006 and besides has a great competence in the team HRC with the presence of Dani Pedrosa that each time goes to more.

Not that I'm a big Hopper fan or anything, but VerMOLEn faded after leading several laps, just like Hopper has in other races this year. He's also had some mechanical DNFs. |

| Re: Hayden going to Ducati next season? Didn't they talk about this during Laguana? Speed was reporting that he was staying with Honda another two years. Or, at least leaning that way. They also mentioned that if he wins this yr he can basically write his own ticket anywhere.
I personally, at this point and time in space, do not see Ducati pulling anything out at any track with long straights. Seems they don't have the top end to hang with the Japanese bikes. |

| Re: Hayden going to Ducati next season? Au Contraire, my brain-fried friend. The Duc is often the fastest bike out there in a straight line. Turning it takes some planning, however.
Too bad Rossi is going to stay with Yamaha next year. I'd love to see him finish his career on a Ducati. Italy would go nuts, he'd make the bike more competitive (assuming Burgess goes along for the free food) and Gravelplow could retire or race WSBK. |

Actually, Stona already has the right last name. |

I think when they dropped the fuel tank size ducati had to throttle their bike down some. It was faster in 2003 than it is now... Quote: |

I have forever and a day wanted Rossi on a Ducati and with marlboro money, they can afford it (don't believe the hype)... |
