| Re: Miguel Miguel is by far my favorite rider. His attitude and personality make him who he is.
I hope he will start teaching a race school when he retires from racing, I will be the first to sign up for the school. |

| Re: Miguel I honestly wouldn't be surprised at all to see him as an instructor with Freddie's school. It would be cool for him to have his own deal, but his classroom sessions would take up more than half the day. They'd be funny, but they'd be long. Dude likes to talk.
Anyway, at this point he is so intertwined with Honda, is good pals with Freddie and lives in 'Vegas, that I can easliy see them adding him into Freddie's program.
He has so much in common with Jeff Haney, too. They are both midgets, both funny, both talented and fast as all get out and very accomplished racers that interact well with people. Oh yeah, they also look somewhat similar. |

I would love to have him as an instructor. |

| Re: Miguel Well according to HondaRedRiders.com, he's 5'6".
To some that would be a yes, to others maybe a giant. I think 5'6" is pushing it for him, too. |

| Re: Miguel By far one of the best rider I have watch/followed for years... And to see his dedication and effort he puts on the race track to show those young guys that he still can kick some major a** is just awesome.
BTW... born in May 26 1968.... when there's a will, there's a way. |

| Re: Miguel I was red because we were standing in front of the Honda pits all day Saturday waiting for an opportunity for him to sign it. It was sunny all day, and I got a bit sunburned. It was worth the wait, I also brought along the front fender from the RC30, which he also signed. I also stopped Freddie Spencer and got him to sign the 45, too.
Miguel is the man. I'd definitley have to go to Freddie's school if they get him as an instructor after he retires from racing.

| Re: Miguel My favorite race I saw with him also involved Nicky Hayden. I have it on tape and will have to go watch it. It was Nicky's rookie year and he had won a few races in a row and they got to Sear's Point (I believe) and the announcers kept hyping up the legend vs. the new kid. Of course they battled for the lead the entire race and Nicky tried to late brake Miguel about 4 turns from the checkered flag and highsided it into the grass. Miguel (riding for Honda) went on to win but on his victory lap he picked up Nicky (riding for Suzuki) and gave him a ride back to the pits. Total class. |

I didn't see that race. I wasn't following racing at the time. My favorite Miguel Moment is last year's Daytona 200. Man of Steel.

| Re: Miguel Best Miguel Moment is Daytona '99.
Dude got his leg all fukked up again in a crash that took him out of overall first place with four wins already in the Superbike championship of '98, couldn't walk for a couple months, was using a cane and still couldn't walk right at Daytona, had to be physically placed on his bikes, and he comes through with another Daytona Double.
The only racer to do the double, and he's done it more than once. Did that one without being able to walk. |
