They don't make that helmet anymore. Miguel now wears Shark Helmets and the design has completely changed. It will be most likely very hard to find one of those now... And yes it's a very sweet lookin helmet. That's why I have one....
And Miguel is the Fukkin man...... Remember at Daytona this year when he Highsided, then got up, ran back to the bike and got back on to finish the race in 5th(i believe that's where he finished) running with no windscreen and no shield on his helmet.. He has got to be one of the most hard core racers out there...
Have admired his work for years.

he doesn't do anything spectacular. he goes out, does his job ( very well), wins, and thats it. it's probably cause there's no controversy about him. he doesn't has a personal rivalry with anyone ( rossi vs biatchi styles), he doesn't throw a tantrum on the field ( yates styles), and he doesn't really have the charisma or looks ( nicky hayden styles). he's just Duhamel ( with a nice helmet design). |

| Re: Miguel If it weren't for the stupid AMA points payment structure in the mid to late 90s, he would have been Superbike champ in '96 and '97 to go with his '95 title - and been double champion all three years (Supersport/Superbike). And had there been doubleheaders back then, his superbike wins total would still be untouched, and he would have easily won the '96 and '97 titles.
His '92 season on the 500cc GP bike could have gone better, but wasn't really all that bad. |

Too bad about the helmet. That was my favorite one. But perhaps I'll find one... |

I have met him a number of times, great guy very funny. Although he is not in the same league as Miguel, he is one of Canada's greatest racers. |

He has definitely had a fairly successful and long career, I'll give him that. |

| Re: Miguel just saw a couple of the Shoei Duhamel helmets today (red and black). the store's site doesn't list it though ( Motorcycle Helmets Jackets Motocross ATV Parts Shoei HJC Motorcycle) you could give them a call. I think I've also seen them at just about every other place around here.
The red/silver one in that wheelie pic is my favorite of his.

| Re: Miguel miguel is the ****!! he has more heart than any rider in AMA, WSBK or Moto GP. you never hear him make excuses or cry and he is very likeable. too bad Honda can't provide him with a competitive bike (CBR1000RR). even with a less inferior machine, he gives it 100% and he is "Mr. Ironman". |
