MotoGP - Sapang, Malaysia : Time for predictions and baseless speculation.

I was hoping to find that The seedPod had wilted in the heat of Malaysia over the last few seasons, but he actually won the last two 250 races there.

Repsol tests there a lot - Nicky logged 443 laps there over the winter, and Diminutive Dani got 362. I couldn't find who was faster...

Hayden has placed 4th there the last 3 years. That ain't gonna cut it this time, homeboy.

Do you suppose HRC will decide who wins this race? Will the evil empire give orders to make sure might mite will win?

I sure hope not...

Re: MotoGP - Sapang, Malaysia : Time for predictions and baseless speculation.

i think ducati has an advantage at this fast track and Pedro who weighs around 25 lbs. should be fast also. i would love to see nicky take a win or maybe even a podium, but i think he is shaken-up after last race. if Rossi doesn't finish on the podium, he will have a DNF.

I wouldn't bet on the efficacy of the Bridgestones under these hot, humid conditions. Capirossi is a great rider, but Michelin tires will be on the podium, I think.

Unless it rains..

is there any word on how the weather is going to be? you are right, if the weather is hot and humid the stones would be in trouble, but if the weather is fair, Capi has a good chance. i just hope that nicky doesn't get sabotaged again.

Capirossi was right there with rossi last year if I remember correctly. I think the bstones will be there in sepang.

Edit: He won sepang last year. SO to say he won't be there because of the bstones is irrelevant IMO.

Yeah I think Honda is making sure that Nicky does not get in the way of Pedro winning his first season on motoGP. They are going to sabotage him... That would be retarded wouldn't it?
They sabotage NH and then Pedro falls on the next race, hurts himself and Honda is **** out of luck... come on ppl, sabotage? whatever...

So you're saying John Hopkins is irrelevant?

Yeah, hopper may as well leave it on the truck. Suzuki must really be feeding him some good BS.

The laguna meltdown is irrelevent again. Unknown surface and second appearance at the track. They have a lot of miles at sepang. The ducati will be there...

Re: MotoGP - Sapang, Malaysia : Time for predictions and baseless speculation.

john who? anyways, i don't think the tires are a big factor (if the weather isn't too hot). at that track speed is the biggest factor. not too many tight, slow stuff. remember last race when Capi just took-off and left everyone behind? Pedro should have a good race only because he weights 22lbs and he's 5-10 mph faster (trap speed) than the other riders. rossi should finish on the podium, if he doesn't have a DNF. i think the M1's performance is at it's peak (the reason for a couple of DNF this year). any word on the Kawis?

if the weather is hot and humid, i believe Rossi will have a DNF. i'm still sticking to:

1. Capi

3. Rossi (If he finishes)
4. Stona
5. Nicky
6. Mela
7. Roberts Jr.
