| Spoiler Sepang You have to give credit to the Pod for how he ran all beat up. I hope it continues like this and goes down to the last race of the year for the championship. http://images.motogp.com/en/motogp/r...mpionship_id=3 |

| Re: Spoiler Sepang Interesting finish there. Nick needs to try a bit harder and hit the podium the last few races. He doesn't need to win, and as long as Rossi and Pod take points away from each other, all he has to do is finish on the podium.
However, articles like this really make you wonder. Soup :: Ryder Notes: Strange Days Indeed, Sept 2006
He's in place to win the title, and Honda keep throwing useless new **** at him. I'd love to see him tell Honda to shove it up their collective ass and ride the faster bike that the Pod is on.
He's testing all these new bits, yet Honda hasn't yet had him run the new 800cc bike as Yamaha and Ducati have.
Honda obviously don't see him as the number one rider, and there is doubt he'll even be riding a Honda next season anyway.
Things that make you go hmmm.......................
Please Nicky, win the title and run as far from Honda as you can. Wear that number one with pride on someone else's bike next year. |

You'd think Honda would have learned a bit from how they treated Rossi, but apparently not. |

You guys crack me up. This is from another forum but sums it up quite well. He is lead HRC rider, thats his job to do. Same for Biaggi, Barros and Rossi himself when he was there in 02 and 03.. Same for Doohan when he won his five straight world titles.
If Nicky wants to win the title he has to do what Rossi and Doohan did to win their seven titles. If he cant do that then he doesnt deserve to be champion. Its that simple. |

| Re: Spoiler Sepang Rossi and Doohan were never forced to test parts needlessly when in the thick of a title battle. Neither was not allowed to ride the bike they had proven to be quicker on in the thick of a title battle.
Nicky is doing what he needs to do to win his title, and having to fight Honda and the bike more than any of the past Honda riders.
It looks more and more like Honda are trying to do to Nicky what Ferrari did to Schumi. |

| Re: Spoiler Sepang Im with u MD4, win or loose, Nicky should jump ship to Yamaha. Even though the top three riders had a good race, Nicky didn't appear to be comfortable with the "evolution/better" chasis/engine. It appears to me that Pedro is doing just fine with the "basic" RC211. I personally don't think that Nicky is the #1 rider and if he doesn't win the championship, he won't have a ride with HRC. Hey Nicky win or loose, go to Yamaha or even Ducati. |

Rossi had to fight them and I know Doohan had to as well. New parts are new parts and they had to fight Honda to not use the parts.
Bunch of excuses really. |

But Doohan most certainly wasn't developing parts for a different displacement bike, and I don't believe Rossi was developing diesel parts on his NSR either...
There's getting new parts to try and go faster with your current set up, and there's developing parts for a bike that's 190CC smaller.... |

There's getting new parts to try and go faster with your current set up, and there's developing parts for a bike that's 190CC smaller.... | According to the HRC chief, none of the parts on the RC will move to the 800cc bike. He is testing new parts for the bike but that is about it as far as I've read. If a new part works well then they'll might make an 800cc version of the same said part, etc. Sounds like testing new bits out like any other year. Every part is made by HRC to try and improve the bike and that is his job. If it helps you then you use it. If it's a part that slows you down then you need to grow a pair. I remember reading Rossi mentioning this same thing when he was @ Repsol, it's part of the game. Hayden's laptimes were right there this last race so he had a machine underneath him that could do the business. It was his riding that didn't get the job done. This is what I thought because I had the laptimes up live the whole race. And it was funny he said the same thing post race. Rossi has had to test engine revisions during a race weekend more than a few times. Earlier this year he got a new chassis and had to dial it in before Sunday, it's part of the job. Hayden will get technical occasionally during an interview and tell you what is really going on. One time this year I remember him mentioning trying to get the thing to turn a little easier and he also mentioned working on getting the rear grip to work s little better with his riding style. If he has the bike dialed than that means sometimes that they need to redesign a bit for him to get the bike where he really wants it. Also, it's not like official tests just happen all the time. At some, and only some, they stay on after the race to test on Monday and Tuesday. That doesn't happen every race.
He is doing alright where he is and I don't think the "evo" bike excuses are worth their weight by any stretch. That bike he is on is a damn good bike, best team to be on, best bike to be on. I don't see that EVO bike being a total lab bike as it has to be damn good to win/podium as it is. He is up on Pedrosa with it in the points thus far, and everyone else so it's a real good bike. He also has been very fortunate this year in regards to bike problems and getoffs and most of that is due to him but........several times he and some of the other riders have really capitalized on another rider's **** luck.
It's all down to who has the most minerals now. Rossi and Capirossi are riding very well. |

| Re: Spoiler Sepang watched the race myself on yesterday...and from what my eyes tell me, Nicky is a damn good rider...but he just doesn't have "it" to go toe-to-toe with Rossi, Capirex and from time to time, Podboy....don't get me wrong, I wanna see Nicky bring home the title, but with only 2 race wins(laguna and Assen), I get the feeling he'd be viewed as some sort of a "paper champ"....he has been consistent(well up until the last few races) all year, but he needs some wins...as the old saying goes, it's more rider than it is bike....that 22 point lead with four races to go looks very tenuous right now..... |

| Re: Spoiler Sepang The race was awesome . The riders even better . I hate seeing the mafia topping the podium again but they won't last forever . Still my hat off to the Italians. That was some gutsy racing.
Also my admiration for Pedro . It must not have felt good to drag that knee.
Nicky needs to look down the field and see if he needs to risk a bit more or just keep it safe, but if the next races are anything like the last, he's not going to make it unless he puts the "brass ones" back on .
The one thing I don't understand is why Pedro and Nicky are not teaming up to hold Rossi and capiROSSI back.... I would think that Honda would have a team strategy but it does not seem to be there right now.
All in all, a good race. |

You can cry all you want, but it's getting pretty obvious that there are at least three riders that are better than Hayden. They just haven't been as consistant this year.

| Re: Spoiler Sepang enough of Nicky "trying-out new equipment"! At this point if HRC doesn't have the best bike on the grid, then they have already lost the championship. With 5 races to go, why try-out new equipment? Nicky had the lap record in Sepang from last year on a 2005 RC211 spec bike, this year on an "evolution RC211" he wasn't able to go any faster . I'm not saying that there is a conspiracy, but i think that HRC is playing Nicky as a 2nd rider. I hope Nicky wins the championship and jumps ship. Hey Yamaha do you have an extra seat next year? |

| Re: Spoiler Sepang No offense to anyone, but as of late Nicky fanboys seem to have same the very same singing teacher as CE fanboys do; parts, tires whatever conspiracy each weekend. Nicky has done remarkably well this year, but the truth remains that only thing that might win him the title is his consistency. At the moment there are enough riders faster than him to keep him from podium in the remaining races and if that does not change, Nicky won't bring home the title. I'd say Capirex + Ducati package can really work for Nicky, they can win some races that may deny Rossi or Asimo the title.
As for going to yam next year, I'll need earplugs to keep all the conspiracy songs out of my head when he get's asswhipped by Rossi. CE was better of with Yamaha too and just how impressive he has been |
