| Re: Hayden re-signs for 2 years with Repsol Honda... Interestingly, I was able to find out what they were paying for the top riders bike in the mid nineties. It wasn't any secret that Honda was leading the payroll by paying Mick Doohan somewhere upwards of 9 million US dollars per season before any of the sponsor money kicked in (his paycheck actually came from Rothmans and then later Repsol). I understood from a few random conversations with a certain ex world champion that most of the other manufacturers (and sponsors) paid in the same ballpark for anyone in the top 3 in the premier class, although usually around 1 million less than Honda.
Based on this, I would guess that Nicky has pretty much set himself up for life unless he walks away or violates his contract in some major way.
Not the dumbest move I've seen . . . |

| Re: Hayden re-signs for 2 years with Repsol Honda... $$$$$$ and who would want to team up with rossi anyway. he'd be sacraficing chickens over your bike at night and you'd never win a race again.
ducati is a great ride but they get rid of riders that don't win rather fast. |

| Re: Hayden re-signs for 2 years with Repsol Honda... there was a report (coulda been a couple years ago, I forget) saying Rossi was making $14million before endorsements. I bet Hayden is probably getting atleast $12mil.
Next year is gonna be a fun season to watch.
