Story doesn't say whether it's a racing or development contract though...

I'd hate to see him be #2 rider, second to Pod-boy midget. I know the #1 rider's job is to test new parts, but c'mon, they can't even give him a decent clutch?? |

| Re: Hayden re-signs for 2 years with Repsol Honda... It makes sense really. Nicky has gotten better every year and Honda probably is banking on more and more potential. He will probably continue to evolve and grow. He'll have to b/c Pod-boy will do the same.
Nicky is the ultimate company man and I think Honda appreciatates that. Especially, if Nicky ends up being the #2.
Besides that, think about this. Nicky grew up seeing his parents' sacrifice so that he and his bros could go racing. Now he's got a "good job". Hard to throw that away you know.

Oh wait anyone would work for that.

| Re: Hayden re-signs for 2 years with Repsol Honda... Even if Hayden goes back to the "B" bike, with the exception of Rossi, he has beaten the "A" bike riders. And when he was second to Rossi (Rookie season) he was 5th in the overall, thrid Honda (I think).
Sucks that we won't see him on something else, but the 800's are going to favor the 250 riders. All the press releases are raving how the two that have been shown (Ducati and Yamaha) are basically over blown 250's and that their characteristics mimic the smaller bikes.
At least it's a done deal and he can focus on the championship! |

Oh well. | And be compared to Rossi and look very very average at best (like just about anyone else would). With Honda, he at least has a chance if Honda brings out a superior 800 and PedPod struggles as he sometimes do (Nicky still has consistency over Pedpod and has shown he is also is less likely to get hurt)
Is there anyone who really thinks that Nicky would a be championship contender against Rossi on Yammie? Seriously? |
