The honda and the ducati do sound a lot alike. I dont know which I like the best.
It's hard to tell from a video, but the yamaha actually sounds the best to me. Maybe because it's a big band I rather than I V, dunno. Sounds almost seamless/electric... | Honda went pretty all out on the TTF1 RVF750 in the early 90s. The specs are still pretty jaw dropping:
178 RWHP (SAE) at 14,700 RPM
308 pounds with all fluids, full fuel load
No name yet for a few of the alloys created for this particular bike
Once they had to homolgate to WSB rules, the bike was totally illegal, so the project was dropped after winning just about every race it was entered in (Suzuka, IOM, Northwest 200, LeMans etc.).
This was not your buddy's RC45 . . . |

This was not your buddy's RC45 . . . | Damn, check this out: Quote: | In 1991, at the Suzuka Eight Hours, Wayne Gardner's and Michael Doohan's RVF was publicly weighed at 304 pounds. With lights. In 1991, mind you. | From an old soup article.
I need to find more info on that thing. |

I have a huge wall poster of that actual bike in my basement. I have been trying to find someone to scan it so I can post the pic, but it's truly jaw dropping even by today's standards. |
