It was only 6 laps in, and they were all right there. If Pedrosa was pulling away he wouldn't have been passed cleanly by both Edwards and Hayden.
Hayden was far better on race tires during practice than Pedrosa and would have been right there with Rossi all race. |
wow they raced for 2 more laps after crashing. pretty impressive.

You must have not read a post for the last few years on here, eh? One more toward the limit.
Seems like a decent apology to me .
"What can I say? I made a mistake and I'm really sorry," offered Pedrosa. "It's the first time I've hit another rider in my career - it's never happened before in practice or racing in six years and it's happened at the worst moment that I could do it. Obviously I'm very unhappy and Nicky is not happy and I just want to apologise because I made a mistake. I said sorry to Nicky and I can understand that he is very upset – I wish I could change it. I didn't want to pass him at that moment. I braked and my rear wheel came off the ground and then it touched the ground again, I got a little more speed. I couldn't stop the bike and there was nowhere to go. I have a fracture in my little finger but we have time for it to be ok for Valencia." Quote:

I'd say I'd sure lose any respect for ya if you did that shyte. I've seen even more bonehead manuevers than that one on the track including one where the guy that was wronged(taken out at track exit) was out a totalled BRAND NEW bike (first ride out of the box breaking his race bike in on the track) but controlled his emotions (he's a big, built guy also) and didn't result to assaulting the guy in the wrong. He will always have my respect. |

I've been in the pits at car races where the cops came to break up the fights, on two different occasions.
I've held back friends, who got off the bike, threw their helmet, and were ready to throw down on another rider at a trackday more than once.
Racetrack stuff is a bunch of type a people, OD'ing on Vitamin A...physical stuff happens at racetracks all the time. |

and yeh i imagine racing could get pretty damn violent and aggressive. like any competition. rage is normally righteous in the executors eyes. doesnt change what i said. |

Cool that Ilmor got a point also | Yea - how about Ilmor and Team KR? I sure hope they both have engines ready for next season. I think it will take that long to keep up with the BIG money. |

I've watched the replays a few times and Haydens pass on Pedrosa at the same corner on the previous lap is almost identical to Pedrosa attempt on Hayden...Pedrosa has to lift the bike up to avoid contact. If Pedrosa had kept his line they would have made contact. Pedrosa tries a similar move, brakes and his rear wheel lifts off the ground..loses the front end. He says he wasn't trying to make a pass but I find that hard to believe, I think he was and why shouldn't he...the gap was there just as it was when Hayden passed DP. Unfortunate for NH all the same. |

seemed like hayden came in pretty recklessly when overtaking pedrosa
pedrosa maybe let it get the better of him and pushed hard at the same point
rossi and elias seemed to tear away from kr jnr on that last lap. |

Unfortunate for NH all the same. | Maybe I am crazy but on Hayden's pass i don't remember EITHER wheel being on the curbing and Pod picking it up after Hayden had a wheel on him (tight and rough but a clean pass). Pod's pass was both wheels on the curbing then no chance for pickup as he center punches Hayden. The only thing as suprising as Hayden was able to not toss the twerp from his motorhome is that Hayden was not hurt when the Pod center punched him.
