| MotoGP Valencia 2006: Pre-Race Smack (NO Spoilers Please) So what's it going to be in Valencia, team orders, or more of the same...
Will Rossi defend, or will Hayden rise to the occasion?
While I am rooting for Hayden, I think Yamaha has done a better job overall and will probably prevail. The point gap after the disaster at Estoril is just too large to overcome in a single round...
Let's hear it...

| Re: MotoGP Valencia 2006: Pre-Race Smack (NO Spoilers Please) I'm rooting for Nicky as well, but I think he's too young to have the werewithall to overcome the mental hurdle. Rossi will win and despite Nicky's best effort and regardless of the Pod falling in line (unofficially of course) Rossi will win the championship.

| Re: MotoGP Valencia 2006: Pre-Race Smack (NO Spoilers Please) I dont know...I think Hayden will win. I think that we will get a pleasant suprise from Nicky...the anger he felt towards Pedrosa will be taken out on the track...as far as Pedrosa...I think he will put on a good act and pretend to be a good teammate but who knows...maybe he will fight Nicky for the win!! |

The title is his. |

| Re: MotoGP Valencia 2006: Pre-Race Smack (NO Spoilers Please) I think even with team orders, the Pod is useless, where Colin actually is pretty good when it counts for Vale.
Between Australia race direction and the ****ing Pod, Nicky has lost the title this year. |

| Re: MotoGP Valencia 2006: Pre-Race Smack (NO Spoilers Please) Rossi DNF due to mechanical issues trying to keep up with Nicky. Dani second and will help block Rossi until he breaks down. Nickie will win the Championship. |

But reality is saying it's too much and you could almost hear it in Nicky's voice during the post race interview.
Sucks but's racing... |

Sucks but's racing... | As Hayden said.."The dude just has to follow me around at Valencia"...given that he's not won many races and that he really must win this one, I think its a big ask. But he does go well at Valencia and came 2nd last year ahead of Rossi. I just hope its a clean race and that they can go head 2 head. My head says Valentino will win.
I've said it before but.....51 point lead....it all slipped away. |

| Re: MotoGP Valencia 2006: Pre-Race Smack (NO Spoilers Please) Keep in mind that while Rossi did had some DNF, Hayden did have a few races with mechanical difficulties and also had a teammate that wasn't who would often fight him...as we can all so sadly be reminded of...Hayden did have a 51 point lead but that was despite issues of his own which finally came back to haunt him at the end of the season. |

| Re: MotoGP Valencia 2006: Pre-Race Smack (NO Spoilers Please) I want Hayden to win and have someone between him and Rossi. But, I feel if that someone is Capirossi, I think he would let Rossi pass for the points and the title.
But, in reality I think Rossi has the championship wrapped up. After Phillip Island everthing has gone bad for Hayden. |

| Re: MotoGP Valencia 2006: Pre-Race Smack (NO Spoilers Please) Hayden was his most aggresive the last race. Laguna was the only other time I remember him being that aggresive. So maybe, he'll keep it going.
However, since Capirossi has more wins and Rossi even more, I would prefer that the rider with the most wins takes the championship. And Rossi is just plain something else. He's like Tiger Woods: No matter what, to win you know you're going to have to beat him.
Of course, if Honda fills my friend the Spaniard with Saki instead of Sangria, he could just take out a whole string of people in the first corner and let Nicky go on to win. Si? |

Don't get touchy on me. I am a (remember I'm a big KR fan.), but once again, I think Rossi has shown how damn good he is and how high a bar he has set. |

Could you imagine the mayhem at the front of the pack if winning an individual race was all that mattered. It would be fine in NASCRAP, with their cages and neck braces. But on two wheels? Come on.

| Re: MotoGP Valencia 2006: Pre-Race Smack (NO Spoilers Please) I imagine Nicky will be balls to the wall because he has nothing to lose. I also think that that is what it takes to ride Rossi's pace for 28-30 laps (whatever it is) so it should be a great race. I think Rossi will win but if Nicky can battle with him it'll be a great place (mentally if nothing else) to start from in the Off Season. I guess Biatchi isn't looking like such a bad teammate after all... I'm guessing he wouldn't have pulled a Pedrosa. |

The Pod-dejo won't be a factor, and will finish a sulky 5th. By next year his testicles will have come in, he'll discover beer, gain 45 lbs, get laid, and will win his next race after Gibernau. |
