But what's really telling was after the incident Pedrosa simply walked away. If he was any sort of man he'd admit that he'd ruined one man's and one nation's dream and gone over to apologise. Furthermore he should have helped Hayden. But did he? No.

This led me then to think why? Why would anyone do this on purpose to an American? The answer is Honda. They simply don't want to see an American win. Since day one Nicky's never had a fair crack of the whip with Honda yet has racked up a decent tally of performances non-the-less. Maybe the Japs are still mad about the war? I don't know and I'm not here to speculate all I know is that HRC would rather LOSE the championship to Yamaha than suffer the shame of having an American win.

It was the Pearl Harbour of Estoril.

That was a pretty nasty quote. We don't take Pearl Harbour lightly around here. I think I hear the faint sounds of the Enola Gay firing up.

Don't get your knickers in a twist.

It's a piss take from the hilarious MotoGP News site. I know for certain the CBRVFR checks in there, Baketech too.

Like King Kenny said, "time to suck it up and go out there fighting" Come-on Nicky, leave nothing on the track this race....

how does finishing midpack every week help Rossi? so Edwards helped out with some blocking in this race. it's not like he does it consistently.

if you guys were Pedrosa would you have gone over to Nicky right after the crash? I know it was a shitty thing to do but it kept him from having his ass handed to him in front of the world. sometimes its best to let the situation calm down on its own.

Yes, I would've rebuilt his damn bike in the gravel while he was kicking me in the ass if I could've.

But I'm only a moderately self-absorbed prick; nowhere near the shitbot's level.

So tell me. IF Nicky is so wanting to win the championship and is driven to succeed, yet as a lot of the Hayden lovers think HRC is trying to hold him down, why do you think Hayden would resign with HRC after seeing "this" for multiple years?

Money? I'm sure he could have gotten close to the same money (I'm sure another offer wouldn't put him in the food stamp line) with other teams where the "screwage" wouldn't be present (or at least perceived by the lovers of black helos). If it was money and HRC is screwing him, then fark Hayden as it was his choice to be screwed around with again. I hope he has fun and buys stock in KY.

Maybe, just maybe, HRC isn't screwing him as bad (at all) as the Hayden lovers think.

Re: The Valencia showdown : Dani the sockcutter speaks.

There is much more to the team aspect than the race. If Edwards is holding his own in the races and aiding Rossi with development and feedback on setup he is very valuable. Of course binning while taking your teammate along doesn't help either.

I think the exact quote out of HRC was, "Now that the constructor's Championship is won, we will now give Hayden his Tital."
His signing and the constructor's championship was almost simultaneous. I'm sure he thought things were about to change. Unfortunately for him....they did.

Oh...ok. The whining about HRC screwing him only began after HRC won the construct champ...

No never said that. I said that Honda told him they would "now" help him get his tital. Carrot and stick type of thing.

Re: The Valencia showdown : Dani the sockcutter speaks.

I would suggest that Edwards has proven invaluable to both the Yamaha team and to Michelin (is he not their #1 tester?)

A winning team is not just about having two **** hot pilots on the fastest bikes, as HRC are finding out to their cost.

Development and testing over and over again. Thats's what Edwards does. Rossi seems to have good relationship with him too, so one assumes a degree of respect. A happy team is a winning team. OK so he doesn't win the races or even got on the podium much, but Yamaha seem to think he brings something to the party. But hey, what do they know, just a bunch of losers.

My previous response still holds true then. Fark Hayden. Even if they "concentrated" on trying to get the riders champ the last few races...what about next year? What's the saying about "old dogs".....

And your "quote" was not even close to correct.

Damn Proto, you're knocking them out of the park today!

So what don't you agree with here? And what's your explanation?

Repsol Honda money and everyone else is about $4M apart according to the grapevine. I might think twice before walking away from that size of a differential regardless of the ego points . . .

Go to my 2nd part of my post for my reply to that. If that's the main incentive I hope he gets a 400cc bike next year.

ok...10 vs 6M a year (or whatever it is). Personally if I was making the coin he is, I'd be going to the team that I had the better chance at....but hey I'm working for around 40 years for just the difference in contracts...
