| Barros back to MGP in 2007 Alex Barros has signed with D'Antin Ducati for the 2007 season....personally I think they should have given the opportunity to a younger rider..

| Re: Barros back to MGP in 2007 Well it's good to know we have the living dead back with us in GP.
Didn't you know, the Zombie never goes away. As long as his bandages are changed regulary....he could be in GP for another couple of decades at least. |

for the record, Barros' career wins/championships/overall standings/poles/fastest laps is a very short read compared to Biaggi's . . . |

| Re: Barros back to MGP in 2007 its weird that barros wants back in GPs.. unless he's being paid a load more.. although seems unlikley to be paid more as a GP privateer than a factory WSB rider...
I mean you can see why someone like hoffman or haslam (hint hint gresini) would work in a **** team just for the chance to be there, but barros doesn't honestly believe he's gonna win, surely?
i'm also getting sick of all the continued biaggi bashing... i mean he is a good rider... i hope he kicks some arse in WSB, IMHO if WSB is gonna be a place for retiring GP stars, then they need to start making their presence felt...
i mean look at the performance say Abe vs Baylis in both WSB & GP..
Baylis makes ALL of WSB look average with his do nothing on a GP bike, title on a superbike style
then you get some one like Abe, conistantish front runner & race winner & in WSB he's no where...
so c'mon biaggi, everyone says you were **** in GP (you weren't by the way) & so many WSB riders felt they should've had your ride in GP, so go make your point...
in case anyone cares..
biaggi didn't start racing at all until he was 18
he's the most successful 250 rider in history (incl rossi)
he swapped to honda for his 4th 250 & became one of the few ppl to win back to backs on different bikes
he won his first ever 500gp - only like 3 ppl have ever done this... he beat Doohan to do that..
I guess what i'm saying is that you can see why Rossi employed so many techniques to undermine him mentally...
for the record = he can be a whinging dick tho & i'm a MAJOR rossi fan |

Not that shabby of a record for all the crap people pin on him. Hell, Scwhantz was never that consistent nor was Gardener, Spencer or Lawson even though they did win the championship. Max was racing the last 2 major players during all this as well (Doohan/Rossi). |

His work ethic seems to be right there and his motivation should be running in the 90% range. On a bad day Max usually finishes second or third, on a good day, he's untouchable . . . |

| Re: Barros back to MGP in 2007 I was kind of hoping to see what Barros could do in WSBK next year on a better steed. If he could have learned to make decent starts this season he would have done really well. |

| Re: Barros back to MGP in 2007 If Max could dial his personality down enough to get an 800 ride, he'd probably be very competitive. I'm not so sure that he'll adapt as well to the larger WSBK bikes, though. |

I believe Rossi has had his fair share of bitching even after a violation of the rules goes in his favor. Dynamic personalities are what the fans want. Take a look at some of the top 5 rider's sites, it's a wakeup call for certain . . . |

| Re: Barros back to MGP in 2007 He does have kind of an imperious edge, though. You'd have to be pretty confident in your views to immolate the relationship he had with Honda in MotoGP. |

| Re: Barros back to MGP in 2007 aw man i cant help but like Rossi.. i got into 'motogp' when he got into 125s
i met him at jerez in 2001 & he was nice, friendly, made time for me (i've heard that others have NOT enjoyed such treatment from him...)
TBH i cant dislike any prof rider too much ~ they all are SO much better than me at something i love (riding fast)
i hate the biaggi bashing - he's far too good for that..
but sorry ~ imHo Max's mouth fuct his career... |

I just wanted to see Barros and Biaggi on factory (or almost factory) rides and let the two go at it. I would like to have seen what Barros could do. I think Barros would have a slight early advantage with his time on the Pirelli's.
I would have liked to seen CE return to WSBK also. But, oh well. |
