07 AMA

Couple cool things here...

Check out the 07 600rr racebike: (sans paint but still awesome)

link

And I LOVE the Corona 1KRR: (check out the lime back wheel)

I might even pay attention to AMA this season.

Check out the subframe on Miguel's bike... Looks like a cast piece.

Re: 07 AMA

That new FX bike is killer.

The subframe on Miguel's bike appears to be the OEM one. Looks like they haven't fabbed one up yet.

Re: 07 AMA

Tuesday morning times at the Daytona tire test:
Zemke on the 1000RR Superbike: 1:40:492
DuHamel on the 600RR FX bike: 1:40:244

Fastest time overall is Mladin on the Superbike: 1:39:229

They'll all get faster, but for the new 600RR to be that fast right away without much development is awesome.

Last year's pole time: 1:37:075

Re: 07 AMA

Overal FX times from the test.
Soup :: Dunlop Test FX Times :: 12-06-2006

That new 600RR is gonna kick some serious ass all year long. Not even developed at all, hardly any work done to it and it is turning smokin' times. I'm thinking that the parts tested on Miguel's bike will end up on the other Hondas.
Last year, Miguel's pole time for the D200 on the FX bike was a 1:40.928
He is a second faster than that at a friggin' tire test and shakedown of the new bike.

Here are the overall fastest Superbike times.
Soup :: Final Superbike Times From Daytona Test :: 12-06-2006

Note that Miguel is slower on his Superbike than on the 600RR.

Daddy like. Very very much.

The new R1s are shaping up pretty good as well...JD laying down a 1.38 and some change is decent.....

Yep, good Superbike time.
But B.Boz' Superstock time on the R1 is slower than Miguel's 600RR time.

Re: 07 AMA

Looks like MV is having a really rough go of things.
Two blown up bikes and now their rider crashed and broke his foot.
I guess the bright side is that they will definately improve.

Both of which should be substantially faster than a 600 at a place like Daytona.

Too bad the Yosh guys never got their '07 stuff. But there will be other tests before the season starts.
