The commentators don't say anything, but watch the top of the screen at about the 18:00 mark.

Amazing wish we had a good motorsports channel here in the states that showed these races as well as the TT, bsb, dakar (more than a half hour clip), and every other series with reruns!

Point of order: that isn't a motorsport channel, it's the main terrestial broadcast channel, Ulster TV. So quite probably before that you had some crappy soap opera, and afterwards a "save the planet" documentary. Just normal everyday family viewing in Ireland. Surreal.

Also I think Valentino did attend the IoM TT one year (I think it was Hondas big anniversary or something) He was uitably impressed and thought all the racers were bonkers. He declined the offer of a ride.
